I’m absolutely freezing this evening and just put the heating on. Anyone else cold?

Freezing here in midlands, had the heating on today and yesterday!

AreMyDucksinarow · 01/06/2023 20:10

A bit nippy here so have lit the log burner

Was cold last night 🥶

RightHereRightNowish · 01/06/2023 20:10

Isle of Man - 23 degrees inside and the windows are still open, have been all day. I got a little sunburnt at sports day yesterday!

transformandriseup · 01/06/2023 20:11

Wow!! It's been warm enough to eat in the garden here, we are hoping to go to the beach tomorrow.

Growlybear83 · 01/06/2023 20:11

I've put my heating on too. It was nice and warm in south London this afternoon but it's really chilly now.

cornishstarfishy · 01/06/2023 20:11

Everyone come to Cornwall - it's sweltering here!

And please can I stay at yours? As I'm too hot 😂

We can house swap - I'll fill the fridge with strawberries and clotted cream for you! Anyone? Anyone???

BigMandsTattooPortfolio · 01/06/2023 20:12

Keep thinking about the Year Without a Summer (1816) and wondering if 2023 will be given a similar title.

bloodywhitecat · 01/06/2023 20:12

East Anglia, it's bloody cold here so I have lit the log burner. I don't think we saw the sun here at any point today.

EbonyRaven · 01/06/2023 20:12

Confused It's summer and it's been 18 C today. WTAF?

Nearlyadoctor · 01/06/2023 20:12

It’s still 18 degrees here in Devon, sunny, all the windows open. I put a load of washing out at 3.30 and have just got it in , all lovely and dry.
Tbh - I hadn’t looked at the forecast elsewhere , such a shame it’s not sunny everywhere

EbonyRaven · 01/06/2023 20:13

Midlands.

Soubriquet · 01/06/2023 20:13

No heating here but I haven’t had the windows open. I’ve got my socks on though

ThankmelaterOkay · 01/06/2023 20:14

Put the heating on sure. But moan about energy prices and out the heating on?!

If this country had just cut its energy usage down fractionally, energy prices would be way below historical levels.

You know that different parts of the country have different weather and temperatures, yes?

It wasn't 18c here today.
It barely reached 13c at its warmest.
It's cold.

Selfesteem23 · 01/06/2023 20:15

It’s been a cooler day especially this morning but still could sit in it this afternoon reading admittedly south facing warm garden.

It’s 20.5 in our house. We have heating at17/18 in winter. So no not needed. ( Manchester way)

Lottsbiffandsmudge · 01/06/2023 20:16

Temp forecast to go down to 5 deg here overnight.... seriously worried for all the annuals I planted out on Sun (our only warm day!)

PensionPuzzle · 01/06/2023 20:16

Baltic here in the East Mids, I've been working away from home outside all day and bitterly regretted not picking up my winter hat and gloves as I would definitely have been wearing them most of the day, it did pick up a bit this afternoon but was still jumper and coat territory.

StepAwayFromGoogling · 01/06/2023 20:17

We've been at Sherwood Forest Center Parcs this week and it's FREEZING. I'd be amazed if it's got past 13 degrees.

WateryDoom · 01/06/2023 20:17

East coast. It's bloody cold.

I'm too tight to put the heating on, but I'm clutching a hot water bottle under my blanket and intending to take one to bed with me.

IronCandle · 01/06/2023 19:44

I’m in Buckinghamshire.

Me too, & I’ve got heating on, sat with a blanket too!

frugalita · 01/06/2023 20:24

London and toasty warm this afternoon. 20-21 degrees. A bit of a breeze but not cold. It was cloudy and gloomy in the morning but clear blue sky from noon.

SquigglePigs · 01/06/2023 20:26

No heating but I do have my dressing gown on and a blanket over my legs watching TV!

FerrariLaFerrari · 01/06/2023 20:26

I'm Wiltshire/Hampshire border and its been gorgeous. Chilly mornings but so warm in the day. I'm getting quite a tan! Sleeping with my window open too.

Nowhere near needing socks or a jumper, let alone the heating and I'm quite a chilly person.

(Disclamier, I do live in a new build that holds heat very well so perhaps I am a little skewed! )

AnneElliott · 01/06/2023 20:27

It was cold this morning and I went out in boots and jeans. But scorching this afternoon. SE London/Kent borders.

Chilly now but I'm far too tight to out the heating on in May!
