seems not having shareholders isn't such a bad thing for customers. Fancy that ?

Haven't had an email. Does that mean I'm not entitled? Have 4 of the relevant products with them

Do you meet the criteria with the current account, I didn't, though I do have a current account, 2 savings accounts and an ISA

HealthConcerns · 19/05/2023 20:56

@User14528564 it's my only current account that my salary goes into so yes I assume so. Had the account since I was a kid

A pp has posted the details above, if you meet the criteria maybe the email juat hasn't reached you yet. I read about this in the news earlier, the qualification details were in the article too, I think it was the DM if you want to google

HealthConcerns · 19/05/2023 20:57

I tell lies. It went to my junk email 😂

I would log in to your account, hopefully it will be on there as a message, maybe the email hasn't arrived yet

Stepbystep100 · 19/05/2023 20:58

Do you have to apply for it or do they credit your account? I think my Dad inherited Mum's accounts like this but asking will confuse him. If they pay it in without applying I don't need to mention it

berksandbeyond · 19/05/2023 21:01

Absolutely thrilled to be getting £200. Thank you nationwide! 😃

The email says "You don’t have to do anything. So long as you still have an open current account, we’ll transfer it straight to you."

It looks like you only have to do anything if you don't want it - if you do nothing it will land in the account.

ohnonowwhat · 19/05/2023 21:03

Bloody annoyed - left them couple months ago as I hated that card reader thing they still make you use 😖Anyone know if Natwest have any plans to hand out cash?!

TheReturnoftheSmartArse · 19/05/2023 21:08

Another cross person here. Over £20k in a savings account but nothing in the current account recently so I get nothing. Hey ho!

😒 I returned from maternity leave in January. My employer forgot to pay me in January and February. Because of their mistake, looks like I don't qualify😡

Oh no! When I read the criteria, it said they checked on about 29th March. Maybe it means 'up to' that date so you could qualify if you had paid in Nov/Dec? Have you checked your emails/spam?

I didn't qualify as I fell slightly short of £500

LT2 · 19/05/2023 21:13

@Kangarude hmm I'm not sure, but my last 3 months were the extended maternity leave, where I didn't get paid. I'm not feeling hopeful 😮‍💨

Kangarude · 19/05/2023 21:16

I'm trying to feel pleased for those getting it but slightly jealous 😂

Stepbystep100 · 19/05/2023 21:21

@OddBoots thanks. I'll leave it be then.

Winter42 · 19/05/2023 21:25

My email was in my junk so I had not seen it until my parents mentioned it. All those saying they've not had it might be worth a ferret around in your spam folders.

JacobsCrackersCheeseFogg · 19/05/2023 21:26

I am get the ton. I have a current account and two savings accounts but there's diddly squat in all of them. Still! It helps!

JacobsCrackersCheeseFogg · 19/05/2023 21:26

*getting the ton

Curlyshabtree · 19/05/2023 21:35

I got this too!! Very welcome.

Toddlerteaplease · 19/05/2023 21:39

My parents both have it. I don't. 😰

EversoDisorganised · 19/05/2023 21:40

I do agree about their tech being clunky, I don't mind the cardreader as I don't add new payees very often but I do get annoyed that you are stuck with whatever reference you put for each payee the first time you made a payment to them.

MerryHen · 19/05/2023 21:50

DH thought the email was a scam and I skimmed over it thinking it was a 'refer a friend for £100' type thing. It was only a friend mentioning it that made us pay attention to it. Will be nice to be able to treat the DCs with it :)

tinytemper66 · 19/05/2023 22:11

We have had the email too. 😊👍

CampervanKween · 19/05/2023 22:27

Worked out well for me and family, we all have current accounts and savings accounts with them. Nice little treat 👌

TreesAtSea · 19/05/2023 22:34

Been a member since 1979 with numerous accounts and mortgage but I don't qualify. Not what I call fair and certainly not what an apparently mutual society should be doing. Goodbye Nationwide...

ukhgf · 19/05/2023 22:36

Since switching to Nationwide DH and I have gotten £600 in switch bonuses, about £60 in supermarket cash back, I'm getting £6 a month in my FlexDirect plus the 3% on other savings, now £200 between us for this! Only been with them 6 months or so, quite impressed! (Will ignore how much interest we're paying them on our mortgage....)
