Who is spending £1.40 on a tin of Heinz baked beans?

Bloody hell - I haven't bought baked beans for ages and went to add them to weekly shop and couldn't believe the price of them. Ended up going for own brand (which I've had before and are fine). I'm sure Heinz must know what they're doing but their like baked beans for millionaires now!

(Lighthearted btw)

I switched from Heinz to branston years ago but even their prices are making me thin about switching again. Used to pay £2 for 4 tins and now it's £3 most places.

M and S beans at 50p seem to get alot of love here so I shall try those.

Heinz is shocking, I've always had heinz ketchup but I've switched to Aldi. I can no longer justify Heinz prices or many of the other brand prices either (says a brand snob)

You pay for the advertising

PSA - Lidl are selling 6 packs of Heinz for 2.62 a pack, I’ve just bought a load to stockpile because I imagine it will be a popular deal! @Tentoseveninthemorning

Treated myself to a tin of Jack's for 55p.
They're at the One Stop, a subsidiary of Tesco I believe.

They're far better than Heinz, and Asda - both of which are too sweet.

I find them to be more of a savoury bean, not a can filled with juice.

Then again I like to boil them down to resemble last Sunday's scrapings at a transport cafe.

Definitely no to Heinz though, too sweet. Asda - too sweet. Sainsbury's - okay.
