Just put it on to see protesters being dragged off the track. Feel bad for the horses in the ring, it looks warm and there's so many people about.

What sporting event will be targeted next?

ThisIsNotAmerican · 19/04/2023 07:18

@Florenz Not sure but some fishermen / women are being shamed for fishing. I just don't get that really when often it is trout, salmon or sea fish for food. Some animal rights activist is going to come off badly against a fisherman one day. It will evoke emotions similar to the Tony Martin case.

Darker · 19/04/2023 08:20

Sport fishing doesn’t always include eating fish. Fish get caught and released having had a large hook through their mouths… horrific.

Radi0noise · 19/04/2023 08:30

Fishing is horrible. Imagine something dshoved a hook in your mouth then drowned you for a while, then took the hook out and took you out of the water. Scary. Poor fish

So somebody might get shot because they interrupt somebody's "hobby"? Shows the mindset of these people.

London Marathon by the looks of things

Not by XR.

ArseMenagerie · 20/04/2023 18:53

Yes, not by XR.

Which group are threatening to protest outside Westminster on Sunday ? It was in the news

Florenz · 20/04/2023 22:59

I bet they'll try and invade the Coronation.

As long as no-one throws a bike at the Police horses or the Ceremonial horses .as happened at the BLM protests

ArseMenagerie · 21/04/2023 07:20

XR are having a big peaceful protest at
parliament square with a huge focus on being NON DISRUPTIVE to anyone but the politicians — the idea is to show public unity about how slow government are to make the big changes we need to tackle climate change ( not the kind of block the road stuff they have done before) and not the vegan lentil weaving stuff of old. I agree with them and I’m going.
just stop oil may well disrupt stuff.

ArseMenagerie · 21/04/2023 07:21

King Charles is an environmentalist so I can only see unity there with XR too

This is happening at the weekend.

This is organised by XR and many other groups including liberal faith groups and charities and is non violent, a peaceful festival-like family friendly event! XR have worked with the London Marathon to ensure everything goes smoothly.
