What have we done!!

NC’d for this as very outing but been here a long time!!

We are going on holiday on Monday to a large holiday home, we have invited 17 people, a mix from both mine and DH’s side, including both sets of grandparents…

It seemed like a fun and nice thing to do at the time but the closer we are getting the more I’m starting to think oh shit, what have we done!!!!

In the mix we have a some very strong feminists, A no shits given, straight talking lady with a slight alcohol problem, a camp chain smoking gay person, an autistic child, a grandad with a knack for inappropriate jokes and a couple with no sense of humour who like to talk about the past all the time and hate things being out of their control.

I love them all dearly but we are going to live to regret this for the rest of our lives aren’t we?!

I’ll definitely keep you all updated…

There has already been some minor passive aggressive comments on room distribution and some people much more livelier on the holiday WatsApp page than others…

We are in the chaos of packing just now as a family of 5 and I’m going for the rule of one bottle of wine per pants, with the likely hood of afternoon bath each day so that’s definitely 2 a day!!!

This sounds like the plot for Knives Out 3.....

Enforced separation is a definite way to go here. Loud declarations that you're going to take yourself off on your own in your unit on X and Y date for sightseeing or whatever means everyone wont feel they have to stick as one group for every single minute.

Definitely. But, don't take both the family edition and the adult edition and then bundle all the cards up together and just shove them in the boxes in a slightly pissed cleaning up session.
