What is going on at the BBC right now?

What with the news breaking today ( 10/03/23) that Lineker is to step back from presenting Match of the Day and now Ian Wright is also not going to appear on the show in solidarity. They also have said that they will not air a David Attenborough (what the hell did he do/say that pushed their buttons) episode due to fears of a right-wing backlash. On top of that, Fiona Bruce has said that Stanley Johnson 'only' broke his wife's nose once (I mean just how many times is too many, I ask ye).

What the hell is going on at the BBC right now????

James is sexist because he absolutely will not address the gender/women’s rights issues even when the content of his show needs him to do it. He says he doesn’t want to call transwomen (men) ‘liars’, and essentially becomes very yellow and spineless because he’s GC underneath but equally relies on his Twitter Wokerati for likes and listeners, so won’t stick up for women at any critical moment. He started off saying some good things about Brexit but has become high on his own supply and now speaks to everyone with a sneering, dismissive, arrogant tone although I appreciate that’s subjective.

Anyone remember the fairly recent case of the criminal Ernesto Elliot whose deportation back to Jamaica was halted by a posse of luvvies including Naomi Campbell, Emma Thompson, Beverly Knight et al, shrieking about this poor man's human rights?
He's now back in jail after stabbing a stranger to death.
How pleased they all must be with themselves

Are you saying that all immigrants are criminals? If not - and surely not 'cos that would be utterly racist - what are you trying to say?

Good for Gary Linekar, keep talking loud David Attenborough. Well done Ian Wright for standing up for truth. The BBC will find themselves devoid of talent if they keep running away and hiding like this. They need a spine.

Are you on glue ?? Lineker compared the Uk with Nazi Germany for wanting to limit the amount of migrants reaching our shores. We’re a small country, I’m all for those who are genuinely in danger given asylum, but not for economic migrants. Have a look at what’s going on in Ireland.

I had no idea what sort of a can of worms I was opening up when I started it! As someone who lives outside of the UK, I was genuinely asking what the hell is up and is happening with the BBC at the moment.

I think the BBC is great but I really, really do not like the direction it's going in and has been going in for the past number of years. I wonder if I was to look back would it link in with the Conservatives winning the election with David Cameron at the helm???

These are interesting times we're living in.

It's ok, folks- generally, it's only poor Western girls and women that suffer as a result of unregulated influxes of men from countries that believe women are inferior

although, of course there were the sexual assaults en masse in Cologne- which were women from a variety of backgrounds (that went under the radar, didn't it? where's Lineker when you need him)

but, no, on balance our daughters should be ok and, let's face it, we know we'll ultimately end up in some naice, middle class enclave- even if we do our time in some shithole when younger- we'll be safe and surrounded by our peers

Yeah I've seen the error of my ways, I'm all for the luxury politics of Lineker et al- they work very well if you're middle class and gosh look how virtuous I am
