It's hard to explain! there's like flesh in front of where the tonsils are the kind of cover them and if you press on them (and have a stone) it'll often come out.

We used to have this when I was a kid and we were poor. Not deep fried though just shallow fried. Corned beef fritters. Sometimes my mum would do it with sweetcorn instead.
