Can people please keep me distracted.

My mum is dying. I’m on the train trying to get to her with my DDs. She’s waiting for me. Can people please help me stay distracted. I’m trying to not be a blubbering mess in front of everyone.

I hate it. They make so much noise whilst shamelessly sorting it out. Makes my skin crawl. I have misophonoa about noise it's on par with my DH eating crisp to me.

One of them pulls down the kick board under the kitchen sink, for no reason other than he's a complete arsehole as far as we can tell. It's not, as originally thought, a protest at an empty bowl or an attempt to reach some kind of rodent. He just does it to be a cunt.

The other one doesn't like going outside to pee when it's cold or wet, so he does it in the upstairs bath and then tries to cover it, thus kicking his feet against the bath like a giant bunny, the thumps reverberate around the house. Git.

Thank you for your kind messages. She passed away at 3am. At least she’s no longer in pain. I’m so relieved that I was able to say goodbye.

So sorry for your loss. Pleased you were able to be with her at the end. Take comfort that she is pain free and may your happy memories of times gone past be a comfort to you. X

Take care of yourself and take it a day at a time. There is nothing quite like the loss of your mum. I’m holding you and your family in my thoughts and sending love and strength.

So glad that you got to be with your mum at the end. Take enormous comfort in the fact that you did the last thing you could possibly do for her - to be with her and to make sure that she didn't pass alone; she knew that you were with her, along with others that she loved. No one is ever old enough to lose a parent, especially one as precious as you mum clearly was to you. Be kind to yourself and take care in the difficult times to follow. Good job. Well done x
