My mum is dying. I’m on the train trying to get to her with my DDs. She’s waiting for me. Can people please help me stay distracted. I’m trying to not be a blubbering mess in front of everyone.

Defo in the loft. With supplies and many kitchen knives.

😂😂 And garlic!!

is garlic for zombies or Dracula ?

Bluetrews25 · 01/03/2023 21:14

Sometimes people won't 'go' if someone is there, and when you nip out for a break they just slip away.

If you had a cat, op, any idea of some names you’d choose? My Birman was originally called Hugo Taratyn Omar the third (Not. By. Me). He’s now called Sarrie by me (Saracens rugby supporter) but mostly called arsehole by my dh (often cleans up after him). Any names of choice for bunnies, horses and cats? Really hope that you get to your mum soon (been in a similar situation) - wishing you strength x

We had two cats when I was a child. Both called Tigger. We weren’t very creative.

I had a fell pony called Jigger. Current fave horse is called Shakira.

@Purplepeoniesdroppingpetals Birmans are beautiful! They're my favourite cat! If I had one it would have to be a queen called Nefertiti!

Here you are

What do you do if she’s hanging on? Stay the whole time? When do you go home? I’ve never been in this situation before.

Do what feels right at the time. You'll know whether it's right for you to stay or leave.

Or an alpaca?

😂at the back garden??

maybe more kids friendly than a goat 😂

do you need licence or can you just get one?

That lived in vibe is nice. Not like Canary Wharf, all metal and no soul. It's not a home unless there are books on the floor

And on the window sill, on kitchen counters and a big stack on the stairs.

Or is that just me?

@theferry do you think he’d even notice one of those ponies? I reckon you could hide a little one for a good few hours days and by then it will be too late to return to The Little Horse Shop.

Silverkirk · 01/03/2023 21:15

Yes Birmans are gorgeous, that's a lovely photo.

Bluetrews25 · 01/03/2023 21:16

I see! Depends if they re hunters then?!

He did start to bring small little birds - dead from their nest 😫- I screamed so loud , he didn’t do it again 🙄

he’s not laid back, rescue cat in survival mode … he’s attacking me when I’m sleeping 🙄

May not be ideal for house rabbits then! How about a compromise, you set up a shed with attached aviary? You can make it proper cosy in there with a heater and light and a big old armchair, rug on the floor, curtains at the window etc. It makes it so much more pleasant mucking out on a winters night! The aviary means they can come and go outdoors while being safe from predators.

I could hide it in the garage for a while. It might get lost amongst the mountain of children’s stuff though.

What's your address quickly? I just need to pop over and check something. Don't mind my nice capacious shoulder bag with the air holes punched in it, I take that everywhere... 😁

Yes Birmans are gorgeous, that's a lovely photo.

He’s currently sitting right next to me licking his rear end. I’ll spare you all that image. New topic to distract: what’s the unhelpful thing your pet does? I’ll start - sits on the stairs in the dark, rips paper up (especially important things)…

How far off is hospital from the station, and how far from the station might you be now?

DoesItMakeYouFeelBetter · 01/03/2023 21:21

My cat has done a lot of bum-licking recently. It’s so…graceless?

changedforonenightonly · 01/03/2023 21:22

Do you think it's nature or nurture that shapes us as people.

MathsIsFab · 01/03/2023 21:22

Bluetrews25 · 01/03/2023 21:16

I think they kick (like donkeys)

we grew up near goats (Europe not here ) and mum used to say to go near sheep not goats !

but they’re cute bless them (apart from the crazy eye thing!)

then one day we’d come home to curried goat … 🤔😢

Perfect! That’s a rocking horse , DH. It’s just very rocky.

Not a horse but my lovely Cookie. She’s currently wearing a cone of shame and spends every wakIng hour complaining and being needy .

Can people please keep me distracted.

I hate it. They make so much noise whilst shamelessly sorting it out. Makes my skin crawl. I have misophonoa about noise it's on par with my DH eating crisp to me.

Ready to fucking drop him into next week level rage.
