Can people please keep me distracted.

My mum is dying. I’m on the train trying to get to her with my DDs. She’s waiting for me. Can people please help me stay distracted. I’m trying to not be a blubbering mess in front of everyone.

Will there be a cab rank outside the station when you get there ? Can you phone ahead and book one for your eta just to be sure?

I’ve been preparing the DDs for this but I never thought it would be quite so quick. They’re OK on their phones at the moment. I’m not entirely sure they’ve taken on board how bad she is. She has sepsis and pneumonia.

I was going to go down before but DH is a at his mums in Yorkshire, who is also very poorly. He caught covid so was staying away from us. Otherwise I’d have already been there.

A teenager doing their homework and her dad. DD2 next to me and DD1 on the other side. Otherwise pretty empty train. Wish I’d packed some hankies.

I’m getting DH to collect us andd
run Us over to the hospital (as post above—he’s in the area with his poorly mum). He has covid so was staying down there so we don’t catch it but I don’t care now. He will wear a mask. It’s in a very rural area with not many taxis (& very unreliable) so DH seems to be the best option.

Hmmm, chocolate would be best and cheese (apart from mozzarella) is the worst. But I’m a very picky eater. Just finished some tiffin from costa.

This one doesn’t. It’s a trans penine express so first clas is a bit rubbish. But I do have half the kitchen in a bag that I threw together before we left.

Probably no wood if the woodchuck had any sense. Sounds like a lot of work for little reward to me. I mean, where would he Chuck it ? And why?
