Such as "Give my head a wobble" and "Holibobs", neither of which I have ever heard IRL.

It's a dealbreaker for me, because in real life I doubt any poster would break their relationship up based on posters telling them too on here.

Crabbyboot · 13/01/2023 21:48

Toxic friendship/ex husband/boss/relationship/mother-in law. Everything is toxic.

Anisina · 14/01/2023 00:09

Plastic tat.

Thr over use of the word vulnerable and its connecting words

SouthCountryGirl · 14/01/2023 07:27

Quoting a post just to say I agree / exactly

Snarf23 · 14/01/2023 08:30

The ‘D’ abbreviations and then writing the full word out anyway like Dcat Ddog. Urgh

sanpro

i couldn’t get worked up about that.

cherchez la femme

Sparklingbrook · 14/01/2023 09:22

It’s funny how much people moan about the ‘D’ stuff. A lot of the time it’s newbies looking at it all very literally.
Its just shorthand. I just see DH as ‘husband’ and DS as sister/son. Nothing more.

Littlechickenhead · 14/01/2023 11:41

The constant initialising is getting ridiculous though, it’s like people think they can’t post on here without doing it. I’ve recently seen utterly pointless ones like member of staff posted as MOS, shop assistant as SA, bridesmaids as BM, etc.

It actually makes posts quite hard to read sometimes, especially if the post is about several different people (SDP), let’s call them A, B, C, D but then we need to bring in B’s DH and DM, DD and her DP, and A’s SO and LO (A works as a TA at a PS (primary school). But then D’s, who is claiming UC has 4 DSSs and a DD and her BF isn’t sure if they can go to Center Parcs (CP) with C and C’s Dsis, Ddog and DDuck, oh and C’s DA and DU. But AIBU to think that D’s DD and A’s DS should just crack on?

Sparklingbrook · 14/01/2023 11:46

If someone starts labelling and doing the I know 5 friends let’s call them A,B, C, D,E etc I close the thread very quickly. CBA. (can’t be arsed 😉)

I do think the longer you are on here the less you notice the ‘D’ stuff. It doesn’t even register now.

pictoosh · 14/01/2023 12:15

Doesn't register with me either. Every forum uses them.

Can't handle 'friend A, B, C and D though. Does not compute. Brain says no.

HPLikecraft · 14/01/2023 13:00

I hadn't seen it for a while, but then it popped up again today...

"disingenuous"

Used to be on every blooming thread.

Trinity65 · 14/01/2023 14:10

I don't know why the following annoys Me as it shouldn't really but hey ho

"Oh you poor thing"

Trinity65 · 14/01/2023 14:11

ReeseWitherfork · 11/01/2023 23:35

I’m personally a fan of when people are “shaking and crying”.

Definitely ducks in a row for me 🙄

”DH never cleans up after himself in the kitchen. AIBU to think this is not on?”

”When someone shows you who they are, believe them. Time to get your ducks in a row”

Yes I agree with those. I know it’s meant well but seems a bit much for people you’ve never met.

Calling someone "Lovely" is worse IMO.

It's often seen on the "I am 8 dpo and my pregnancy test is negative but I'm going to post it anyway so that half of MN can tell me there's a second line" threads.

"Well, lovely, I can deffo see a second line. Get yourself ten FRERS and take a test every day, then post them and we can all comment on the non-progression of the non-existent lines"

As irritating as those are, I give them slack because TTC is utterly crazy making.

I'd suggest anyone TTC stays away from them though because of the number of people who think you should be getting a blazing positive 20 minutes after you had sex.

Or DTD. I'll add that one. Fucking hate DTD.

Cuppasoupmonster · 14/01/2023 21:49

‘Am I pregnant?’

Well I’ve no fucking clue have I?! Go get a test and pee on it!!

There’s always a reason why they can’t go out and get a test until two weeks on Thursday or something. 😂

Cuppasoupmonster · 14/01/2023 21:54

There is!! Despite Amazon prime and the fact every co-op and pound shop sells the tests 🙄
