Okay so the new information coming to light is that it’s believed they left the baby somewhere while they went to get supplies (new cctv shows them carrying heavy bags). Looks like they were on their way back to where they were hiding when the police intercepted them, hence why no baby with them.

would it not of been better for police to have just watched and closely followed until they went back to their hiding spot.

also if you have a look at the social services exposed pages she was following on Facebook really shows her mentality about the social services.

Jesus wept. Just when you think you’ve heard it all. That poor little darling.

Doesn't explain why no baby has been found or why they haven't told police where baby is

New information from where? I haven't seen that in any of the new reports?

ShakespearesBlister · 28/02/2023 18:23

Besides that would mean by refusing to tell the police where they left the baby, they know it will now perish because they aren't being released anytime soon.

Pink39tree · 28/02/2023 18:23

Literally being reported now, additionally he restrained arrest for 40 minutes and was still trying to run away. It took 4 police officers to arrest him and Constance was screaming to get off him as he bad mental health!

Doesn't explain where this 'new information' has come from either.

It’s speculation - they were arrested after being seen at a shop cash point and someone on the same road as the shop has given CCTV / door cam footage to the Mail.

It shows them after the shop, walking with bags and a big stick.

Whether they were walking back to the baby (thy were seemingly headed towards the allotments) is speculation at this stage.

Pink39tree · 28/02/2023 18:25

its from the new information being released about their arrest, they were walking back from a corner shop with heavy bags of food.

new cctv was released of them walking back and you can hear them arguing.

the person that tipped off the police was going into the corner shop, she noticed them as they were arguing while Constance was withdrawing cash.

police intercepted them 4 minutes later on their walk back

Pink39tree · 28/02/2023 18:26

News articles from police statements- just research most recent updates

Metabigot · 28/02/2023 18:27

It doesn't make sense that they would let the baby die after going on the run with it in the first place, unless constance is in a really desperate place of 'my baby isn't growing up without me'.

Personally I think the baby is long dead and the police are just searching now because they need to be 100% sure it wasn't alive

It does make sense if you have any experience of working with unfit parents. They think they are parenting their child adequately but often are not. She didnt need to be in a desperate place in order for the child to die, neglect is life threatening.

Honoraryuce · 28/02/2023 18:32

@ShakespearesBlister there's CCTV and witness account on Mail Online website

Its in the daily mail.

This is so sad. With all the money she probably has access to, why didn't she go abroad to give birth there and rent a nice place for herself and the baby?

You do realise that people able to make and implement those sorts of plans are not usually the people whose children have to be removed?

I explained a lot about this on a thread this morning that has subsequently been deleted. Many parents (particularly unfit ones) see their children has possessions. Something to control, something that ‘belongs’ to them. They may love them, in their own way, but ultimately the child is theirs as a possession and thus in their mind, they are always doing the right thing for their ‘property’. They more often than that have an intense dislike and distrust of ‘the system’. The system is to blame for everything. They are blameless. They have to beat the system - and that means taking control of their possession at any cost.

Its my job to assess parenting and often see it through care proceedings. All parents will want control, particularly those who dont have a lot of control in the rest of their lives and of course they blame the authorities and say that we have made things up about them

The point Im making, which seems to be spectacularly missed across a number of these threads by lots of people, is that neglect in and of itself is life threatening. Children die from neglect or experience life long health conditions. People just dont understand how serious it is, a parent doesnt have to be an annihilator in order for a child to come to harm through their parenting.

^This

My (adopted) children's birth mother verbally attacked a neighbour who regularly gave them food as they had nothing to eat while their birth mother was out drinking.

Their birth mother accused the neighbour of trying to 'steal' her children by feeding them when they were hungry.

Totally agree bellac11, that gradual neglect is lethal and it’s so often missed. People just don’t really understand it. The stories are there where children have sadly lost their lives from hideous beatings by parents but we know that so many children will go to bed tonight victims of this gradual neglect, and then it’ll continue tomorrow, and the day after that. It’s heartbreaking.

Yes, my children are going to live with the consequences for the rest of their lives. One is diagnosed and being treated for depression and has to drop out of education. The other has been diagnosed with anxiety and PTSD which affects her ability to engage in school life and learning.

Their birth mother never hit them. She was usually quite affectionate towards them when she was at home and sober. She totally failed to provide them with the stability and security they needed. Neglect permanently alters the way the brain structure develops.

Harrysfrostbittentodger · 28/02/2023 19:08

If they were going out to get supplies and left baby in a safe place (as is being reported) why won’t they tell police where the baby is? Surely they cannot be that callous or heartless.

I’m not a violent person at all but I don’t know how the police are restraining themselves from doing harm to these two, I really don’t. Evil evil evil.

Because the baby is a possession, and certainly for one of them it’ll be about remaining in control.
