Views on Rishi Sunak?

My view is he seems to be an incredibly weak and passive Prime Minister who is missing in action while the country faces crisis after crisis. We could have a cardboard cut out as Prime Minister and I doubt we would notice much difference.

He’s completely out of touch with the reality of the UK. A rich, privileged twat.

Viviennemary · 04/01/2023 22:58

He seems a nice enough man. But totally useless at addressong the problems this country faces, tpZThry are probably unsolvable.

BradfordGirl · 04/01/2023 22:59

They are not unsolvable. Creating a paradise is not realistic. But the economy can be improved. Public services can be improved.

@jgw1 also quite possible.

I like to think that everything I post is utterly believable by someone.

I think he’s benefiting from Johnson and the Truss throwing away the bar (way, way beyond ‘lowering’ it) for what the UK can expect from a Tory PM. They seem to have dispensed completely with any ideas of probity or public accountability. They dont do shame.

I am still horrified that we didn’t get an election after Johnson had to resign for all of his incompetence and lying. Instead the Conservatives treat us like they are born to rule and the country is suffering really badly.

Well they are born to rule, that is why people pay good money to send their sprogs to Eton and Winchester and we should be grateful for it and not expect tax to be paid on it.

Couldn't put it better! His interview regarding the NHS and refusing to say if he has a private GP just shows he is out of touch.

imo there’s a natural timeframe anyway as a GE will be in a couple of years and if people think he hasn’t done the five things it makes it easier to decide.

I hope he does because I dread abolition of HoL and various other things. Sunak’s aims are middle of the road normal and I don’t need constitutional reform etc

The next two years will be all the people realising the Tories are incompetent, corrupt liars. Most people already know it.

Whatever reason people voted Conservative in the last election, migration, Brexit, Women's Rights, the economy, the NHS, law & order etc. If they haven't copped on to how badly the Tories have fucked the UK by now, they'll twig over the next 2 years.

TodayInahurry · 18/04/2023 07:49

The NHS is a disaster, badly run and captured by all the modern fashions, mutilating children, rapists on women’s wards. The UK could throw every penny of tax at it and it would still be a badly run disaster. The unions have been taken over by Marxists who want to destroy the UK

😂😂😂😂😂

Why would Marxists want to take over and destroy the country? The current government alteady have a magnificent track record in this area.

I think the pp is saying that the government has been taken over by Marxists who are intent on destroying the country, or have I misunderstood and they like the government are so right wing, that moderates look like marxists?

If people haven't realised by now, after Truss and the liar that is Sunak, they never will.
Sunak will not achieve any of his 5 pledges, he simply hasn't got enough time.

Labour have said HoL reform is/will be over 2 Parliaments and its long over due, the corruption of each party packing the so called reforming chamber, with their own people, is corruption itself!

That what 13 years of the Tories in charge gets us.
