Please can we have a thread to show pictures of our favourite things in our houses?

Not including family and pets!

We've had threads like this before and I love seeing what we all love.

I can't decide between 2 things so I'll cheat and add pics of both. The sideboard is much bigger than it looks and, sadly, I think I will have to sell it when I move. And the table was one of a pair, but ds sat on the other one and (unsurprisingly) it shattered into a million bits.

Believers yes the MCM vibe has crept up on us. We really wanted a sideboard but too big for our house so we found a few bits of smaller stuff.

I also have a bit of technically modern furniture but fits in well with the old stuff. It's our stereo stand. It just makes me so happy. We had some disasters with the house this year, think water coming through ceilings, having to rip out boxing in bathrooms so it's nice to have something that pleased the eye. Oh and we finally got round to decorating DS's old room. OH insisted on keeping his pram that the cats love. So I can't covered it to match

I like this pattern, and I especially like the pram!

Currently my sofa duvet from the Fine Bedding Company. It's the warmest most cosy thing ever and I don't need the heating on. The cats love it to.

Yes, not antique exactly, but I bought it secondhand from Etsy. I love it because it's the perfect size, I can put stuff on top of it, and it opens out with the hinge at the bottom so breadcrumbs are caught there rather than going all over the place. 😁

@maximist - what a transformation, it looks gorgeous. Same situation in my place, though it was the previous owners who uncovered it. I find building/decor decisions through the ages fascinating. One man’s tat is another man’s treasure!

I love my cosy living room, especially with the Christmas decorations. Just redecorated to go more neutral. I do want new curtains though - next job.

@Theheartmustpausetobreathe yes, he died earlier this year and he is very missed. The leveret photo was taken on one of our walks together and we do indeed live in Suffolk, that photo was taken in Mendlesham. It was DH who persuaded me it was good enough to be framed.

I have a dear friend in Aspall who loves hares and who was nursing a stray levert when I saw him some time ago .

What a lovely thread! I have serious wallpaper/ floor/ furniture/fireplace envy going on.... Two of my current favourite things are my grandmother's rocking chair and a lacquered chest (one of a pair) that my uncle brought back for her. I'm also very fond of the cats. Not keen on the carpet or the vertical blinds though....

Some beautiful objects, rooms and pets ❤️

I'm struggling to choose mine. Ahead of Christmas we (almost) completed an arduous DIY renovation of our living spaces (floor to be done in the New Year), so I think those are definite contenders, particularly as they contain many treasured objects such as my favourite rug. Also the autumnal coloured portrait in our dining room. And the original Art Nouveau peacock mirror we bought on ebay a few years ago which I love.....

We upcycled our old sofa when we moved and made this room look much nicer. It’s for movies and games (we have 4 teens!) and it’s my favourite room in the house!
