Please can we have a thread to show pictures of our favourite things in our houses?

Not including family and pets!

We've had threads like this before and I love seeing what we all love.

I can't decide between 2 things so I'll cheat and add pics of both. The sideboard is much bigger than it looks and, sadly, I think I will have to sell it when I move. And the table was one of a pair, but ds sat on the other one and (unsurprisingly) it shattered into a million bits.

I also have a GPlan sideboard that I bought for £10 from a charity shop but I can’t be bothered to get up and take a photo- but I assure you, it’s a beaut

I hung some lights up on my plant shelf. Looked gloomy once the Christmas lights are down. They are currently my favourite thing.

I also have rabbit wallpaper and a large picture of duck I got for Christmas. They are also my favourite things.

Your plants look fabulous!

My beautiful original parquet floor, uncovered during lockdown. We were browsing rightmove and zoopla and found old particulars of the house and underneath our ceramic tile floor was a beautiful wooden floor. So we smashed it out with a sledgehammer. It’s under our hall and lounge.

This is just perfect!!!! Love it xxxx

Genuinely wish good luck to any burglars if they can:

Identify which area of the country I live in
Identify my address
Get past the burglar alarm
Get past 4 adult dc
Get past 2 dogs

  • recruit enough fellow burglars to actually carry that sideboard!

When I first got the sideboard, it took 3 of my dc, the man I was buying it off and one of those trolley things to get it in the house. And that was without the drawer!

So only very experienced and very strong burglars please :).

That's a cool lamp, I like the clear base. I like the thistles (I think they're thistles!) too.

Thank you by the way for sharing. There was a similar thread when mn first let us upload pics and it's still one of my favourite threads.

I love seeing the things that make us happy and how different those things can be for each of us.

My favourite thing is this little plate, bought by my mum at a flea market and hung on the wall of my childhood home. She died when I was a teenager so I really treasure this.

Loving all the pics. My favourite thing at the moment is my kindle loaded with lots of lovely new books. I'm determined to read 50 books in 2023 and spend less time on my phone.

Nice idea for a thread. I have lots of items that I love, but as I really can not move off the sofa, I will post a picture of my lovely new cushions. They are, imo, beautiful.

Ah, I'm sorry you lost your mum at such a young age and I'm glad you have something of hers you treasure. I actually have something similar, also belonging to my mum.
