Gather here all ye refugees from the foundering ship of JTT, if ye be in need of "How the heck do I format my post?" "Why can't I edit my typos?" "What do those acronyms mean?" and most importantly, "Where is everybody that I used to know?"

Or just to chat randomly.

Thanks @Kerebus I didn't want to be the one who made the point about left-wing antisemitism being tolerated on JtT. Most grateful you made it. You really do find out who your friends are at times like this.

murasaki · 28/11/2022 23:07

@MissLawls , I'm off to bed, but didn't want to leave that one hanging, I think it was too. Basically I think that the fact that the site was run by one person meant that some things that were OK by him got a pass and some didn't. Will be back tomorrow for further discussion etc, but need to lick my wounds right now as it were.

mach2 · 28/11/2022 23:27

Here's one of my pets. He's adorable but you can see the trouble I have with him.

Hello from Hel&D. Occasional, but I suspect now much more frequent poster on here. It's interesting lurking on the old place, like being suspended in a bathysphere over Vesuvius as it erupted I AD79.

VaginaRegina · 28/11/2022 23:55

Also. AWESOME CATS. Just saying.

BinturongsSmellOfPopcorn · 28/11/2022 23:57

Being able to see the cats, dogs and octopuses is a definite advantage to this new place.

MissLawls · 29/11/2022 00:35

@murasaki much thanks for that

mach2 · 29/11/2022 06:38

A friend's wife has monster cats. Stopping at their flat I had to bunk down in the floor. One of the cats slid off some loose papers on the windowsill above my head. I was woken by a set of claws digging into my scalp before hearing enormocat running away.

I'm probably lucky that it didn't just eat me

kittykarate · 29/11/2022 07:24

Here's my 2 terrors, Jake and Elwood are good at getting in the way of work

This is Phoebe "helping" me to empty the veg box last week.

@kittykarate and any other Cat threadsters, I was following this lovely story from the beginning:

There has been talk of missing Boggle, Sneer and Drool, and hopefully people have found Property and DIY and are enjoying the current doozy. But there’s also been a link on there to a MN Christmas tradition item I’d encourage you all to enjoy.

We don't have any non-humans living with us any more but we are sort of friends with a male robin, who is in his 8th year of controlling us. This is him during a moult a few years ago, sitting on his Philosophy Bag in the garage, so called because the first two or three years he didn't have a mate and spent many, many hours on that bag, thinking bird thoughts.

@Tricyrtis2022 I love your controlling robin!

Loving all the kitty pictures.

Tricyrtis2022 · 29/11/2022 08:16

The Robin is a good bird, Kuc. He comes into the house if he can. One summer evening a few years ago, we were sitting in the kitchen after dinner when he appeared at the open window. He hopped in, flew into the hallway and perched in a large plant in the hallway before making his way out again. At that point, I said, 'You've done this before, haven't you' and we've since found his Calling Card on shelves in every room.

Kucinghitam · 29/11/2022 08:23

Also loving the dogs and octopi. It's definitely a bonus of MN that we are able to post images.

I'd love a kitty but our home life does not really allow it.

We live in a flat (although that is not insurmountable as we have large private gardens that are safe for cats and plenty of our neighbours have them). But we are out a lot and keep irregular hours, plus Mr Monkey gets a bit wheezy from cat dander.

Tricyrtis2022 · 29/11/2022 09:04

I like cats but we encourage wild birds and I'd worry if we had a cat.

Hi Kerebus - I had no idea you were tag, and kere is a name I missed. Godd to see you here.

And I cannot help but post a pic of my dog Bailey taking a selfie of himself and Daphne the other day.

GyratingTrampoline has removed me from the jttlifeboat as requested, in possibly the fastest flounce in history.

It's weird how things can sour so fast (not with GT).

Tricyrtis2022 · 29/11/2022 11:03

Lovely non-humans!

Hope you're having a good shake to get yourself right again, Tass.

Kucinghitam · 29/11/2022 11:08

Excellent pets!

I bet your speed-flounce will go down in lifeboat legend, Tass!
