What was your "first dance" song?

Newly engaged so I am over-thinking all these things at the moment...!
Me and my DP are not lovers of attention but do want to do a "first dance" at our wedding. It might sound an odd choice but I think "Fix You" by Coldplay would be great - lyrics aren't the cheeriest but it's so emotional and has the lovely climactic ending.. is this a rubbish choice? What did you have? We don't have any significant suitable songs that lend themself to the task!!

I absolutely love the song, 'From this moment' There's a slow version by Gloria Estefan which is just as good.

'The One' by Elton John is our song. However, our first song at our wedding reception was, 'Nothing's gonna change my love for you' by Glen Medeiros, a popular choice with contributors on this thread.

My Destiny by Lionel Richie is a lovely upbeat song

Years and Years by Ollie Murs is a beautiful song, and I played it to my husband on our silver wedding anniversary. It summed up how I feel about him, now and forever.

Evergreen - Will Young was a contender for ours as was The One by Elton John, but went for Unbreakable by Westlife.

We were shy and didn't want to prolong it, and this one starts slow but then it's all-change. Our friends were briefed to come and join in when the tempo changed.

Ah, well, I would... but unfortunately my children will be there and I have a kiddo with asd that we have to work hard to keep him away from profanity as he would definitely use it in his meltdowns! All we have going for him at the minute is the fact he is at least not using colourful language 🙈🙈🙈🙈. I know I can't protect forever, but for now I try hard to do so as I know it won't help him.
