I bought an Amazon Alexa and I can honestly say it's saved me. My life is so much less chaotic! I have ADHD and I can..

Add things to my shopping list just by shouting them out! So I don't have to remember to write anything down, or forget what it was that I was going to write, I just say it there and then

I can ask my Alexa to play brown noise to help me sleep

I can say 'Alexa, start my day' - and she will tell me a random fact, tell me the time and the weather outside, and then put on my favourite radio station

I love her! Not an advert as I don't particularly like Amazon - never really 'same day delivery' and they put their prime costs up

I also use my omelette maker a lot. I suffer from executive functioning issues, big part of my ADHD. This means I get a half decent bit of food that's easy to make

A mop which has a bottle of floor wash solution attached, you pull the trigger and it sprays the floor, then you mop. Done! Great for spot cleaning and doesn't soak the floor.

Best. Mop. Ever!

Eufy- amazing, we have wooden floors, tiles, dark carpet, bright carpet, carpet tiles and lino. And he works on ALL of them. The dark carpet especially needed vacuuming daily and now eufy does it for us!

Weighted blanket PLUS a silk (ok it's satin for £15 on amazon) duvet cover to go over it, absolute heaven. Instant calm

The ordinary aha/bha peel, I use this all over my body and its great for KP.

@RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie 🥰 I hope you enjoy it!

Permanent make up (tattoo, not microblading). I am really blonde and look like Casper the friendly ghost. The time I spent drawing my face on! First I did my eyebrows. Then filled lash line. Few months ago did lips as well. Amazing! I don't look like I have make up on, just like I actually have a face. Next will probably go for full liner on top of the lashline. I don't bother with make up any more most days - before, people used to ask me if I'm ill.

LadyKenya · 05/11/2022 17:02

Not adore, But I use my air fyer a lot. In fact nearly every day. I wish I had bought one years ago.

KatharinaRosalie · 05/11/2022 17:02

Does the tattoo make up count as an item? In any case, I use it a LOT :D

I've just had a bath and am in leggings and dressing gown - plus Chanel. Classy!

sellmeyours · 05/11/2022 17:16

Alexa - An ADHD persons friend. I suppose an Apple Watch would help too but that's expensive! Maybe if I'm convinced it'll be a game changer...

Kindle I haven't bought but might. I just can't get past not being able to smell and hold a book... I like that experience when reading

Abracadabra12345 · 05/11/2022 17:27

Kindle Paperwhite

My long hot water bottle. My electric under blanket tended to migrate across the bed and there’s something about snuggling up with a hottie! 😉

Classy lady! This is basically a perfume advert.

MissBattleaxe · 05/11/2022 17:41

Our bed was around £800 and although I gulped at the cost it is worth every single penny. I sleep like a log and I look forward to bedtime. Also the airfryer. Especially now the kids have learned how to use it

ScreamingMeMe · 05/11/2022 17:46

Teddy bear mattress topper - makes the bed soooo warm and comfy in winter, and the reverse side is cooling.

Heated throw - fantastic for having over my legs when wfh, or lazing in the living room on an evening, no need to put the heating on.

Small counter top halogen oven. Great if you're only cooking a few things/ something small.

Kindle app on my tablet.

Chickpea17 · 05/11/2022 17:47

Air fryer best thing ever 😬

Audible subscription and a collection of blue tooth speakers/headphones/bone conductive headphones. Keeps me entertained on my commute, in the gym, when I'm ironing, cooking or any time my hands are busy but my brain isn't.

Snailsaresweet · 05/11/2022 20:10

My incredibly firm mattress which doesn't creak or wobble. Probably should have bought a new one earlier!

My iMac with its lovely large screen. Decided I couldn't run to a new Macbook when mine sadly died, but this is a great replacement.
My iphone mini. Actually the same size that phones used to be, which means it fits in pockets, and my small hands can actually fit around it.
My £15 slow cooker from Lidl, which is exactly the right size for two meals for a single person, and bubbles happily away all day, providing me with tasty healthy meals in the evening.
Greenhouse - bought, purely by coincidence, just before lockdown - has transformed my gardening..

ParentallyUnprepared · 05/11/2022 20:12

My AirPods. I use them every day.

@RhubarbFairy I’ve long been tempted by Dublin boots but I have chunky calves (hockey player muscles, now run to fat). How are they got wide fit calves do you think?

@ARoastPotato My husband looked up how best to froth milk (he’s the kind of person who reads manuals…). My advice would be to think about what kind of coffee you want. For cappuccino, you want frothy so move the steamer end more up to the top of the jug so it froths nicely. If you want a flat white or latte effect, you want smoother milk so keep the steamer end down at the bottom of the jug. Also, steam for longer than you think necessary, and use less milk than you think would be necessary. Just my tips from DH’s research and my trial and error!

@CourtAppointedHairdresser tell me more about your tent pls?

@RandomCatGenerator

I think they'd be okay for wide fit calves actually. Mine aren't and I have space around them in the boot.

I took this tonight on the way to the fireworks. I'm wearing a wool base layer, thin jeans and the black trousers are fleece lined waterproof ones, so thicker than usual trousers. You can see I can still get my hand in there.

(And I was over cautious, I was roasting in the end!)

hamptonedge · 05/11/2022 20:44

Coco mademoiselle- my indulgence 😊 As I, like to think - waft but its more of a clump, along the corridor at work people often comment ' I knew it was you, I could smell your perfume. Love it 🥰 shallow - I know🤦‍♀️

mamabear715 · 05/11/2022 21:42

My beloved PC, my Barker & Stonehouse leather sofas & my fluffy dressing gowns..

fernz · 05/11/2022 21:46

A Klean Kanteen insulated tumbler. I use it daily at home for water and other cold drinks. It kept them cold even on the hottest days and unlike a normal glass there's no risk of spilling it so it's great for on my desk, by the bed etc. Bought in the spring and used every day since.
