I've had a UTI. Felt like I was p*ing razor blades first day. Not had a temperature it's my own fault for not drinking enough water. Had to ring out of hours over the weekend for a script. The antibiotics are kicking in now though so not constantly feeling like I need the toilet

Hope you feel better soon, OP. Everything always seems 100x worse in the middle of the night, too.

Glad you were seen and have antibiotics. As another lonely lone parent the mental load of being alone with children and feeling unwell / unable to care for them is just alot to handle!

I Had something similar eating reheated brown rice. Awful.

Sounds like a stomach bug and all you can do is rest. They can make you feel like you are literally dying. I spent two days with it coming out both ends, unable to tolerate light or movement or food or even water. It was pure hell but I just let it do its thing. Hopefully you can get childcare or someone to come and help.

The feeling of doom actually usually is low blood sugar. We see it with patients who are in Addison crisis or of course hypoglycaemia diabetics etc.

Also in sick bugs. Lots of things cause low blood sugar.

Just seen your update op. I’m so pleased you got to see a doctor. Hope the antibiotics kick in quickly and that you feel soon.

I always getting that feeling of impending doom with a urine infection. Horrible.

Thanks everyone! It's dds birthday tomorrow so I'm praying I have a good night. I've had urine infections before and it's been the classic burning when you pee and feeling like you need to pee constantly. This is totally different in that it's just pain in the lower abdomen and back, chills and sweats.

It's been sore all day and I've had a blinding headache but well enough to function.

@Topsyturvy78 I'm pretty sure mine is due to dehydration and being run down in general. Definitely not from sex, unfortunately!

Cranberry juice.
Dab don't wipe on peeing.
Soft cotton pants
Wash with Luke warm water.not too hot or cold to avoid irritating.
If you antispite that burn at the end of your pre with fear.try taking a deep breath in and out so it falls at the end of your pee.or tell yourself a story at the end.anything to stop you waiting,fearing feeling that last oww fuck at the end burn.
Keep drinking.
Get some deep belly breathing going on.from the tummy not the chest.
