their almond croissants. the best supermarket ones available and I think they’d rival a patisserie!

Agreed, they are super delish.

Rocklobstershell · 22/10/2022 12:32

Their falafels and ginger granola are really excellent (though not together obs!😂). I miss them so much since Ocado went rogue.

I really did read that as 'their falafel and ginger granola is excellent'

Reminded me of the character in vicar of sibley with the random sandwich combinations. 😂

I have never seen individual pieces of baklava in ours and now I'm very jealous.

We popped in today. Came out with:
brie
fresh figs - on offer
Stokes chilli jam - on offer
Quartz cheddar on offer
A Spice Tailor dhansak sauce - on offer
bottle of red for dp - on offer
fizzy sour watermelon sweets (already gone)

jay55 · 22/10/2022 15:35

Their essential baked beans taste like beans did before too much salt and sugar reduction.

Their blood orange juice when they have it.

bluechameleon · 22/10/2022 15:40

Our local one does lemon curd The Collective yoghurt which is lovely.

mibbelucieachwell · 22/10/2022 15:48

Blue Skies coconut ice cream
Venison mince for making burgers with
Lebanese cauliflower in tahini thingy
Essentials toilet roll
Cooked Turkey
Florentines

Saucery · 22/10/2022 15:53

Chunky haddock fishfingers.
Tinned black olives.
Vegetable masala and kofta in the Ready Meal section.
Garlic baguettes.
Fresh chicken.
Chicken and mushroom pies.
The Levantine Table deli stuff.

OhThatChicken · 22/10/2022 15:55

They do fancy nutty biscuits that are about 150 calories for half a box and rock my world. I'm working hard to shift excess weight so am mostly avoiding stuff like that but when I have a real craving I nip in and get some.

Livingonjuice · 22/10/2022 16:04

Just back with: frozen cherries, mozzarella, wine, chocolate milk in a cute small milk bottle I'll keep, plus a reduced veggie pie

woodhill · 22/10/2022 16:20

Bought some sausages, an easy gammon joint, their wine is ok

WolverineBlueyy · 22/10/2022 16:25

Essentials marmalade! Used to be about 65p but now is over a pound. But it's better than anything else!

Also frozen herbs.

Their carrier bags. They are huge and really good quality. I always have one in my handbag as one carries double what the Asda ones do and last forever. I realise how sad it is that I get excited over a good carrier 😂

hard relate 👊🏽

ParkheadParadise · 22/10/2022 16:30

Essentials Camomile bubble bath
Fresh bread

Notjusta · 22/10/2022 16:40

Their chicken satay (in a sauce not on sticks) with sticky rice - although I think my local branch has stopped stocking it. No.1 Milk Chocolate with Feuilletine & Salt. I bought a very yummy apple tart made with puff pastry to take to a Sunday lunch the other week.

I use my £8 off a £40 shop vouchers really carefully - I spend as close to £40 as possible 🤣

Yes it's hard, I always go over because I worry about not having enough when I get to the till

Do the self scan! Then you know exactly how much you've spent. The other week I bought an onion for 20p or something to get up to the £40 🤣🤣 You can scan your voucher on the self service till 🙂

Their Indian foods. Pasta and sauces. I don’t find Waitrose too expensive, if you stick to the essentials range

Wiglio · 22/10/2022 17:39

I google‘Waitrose offers this week’ and go from there.
Secret Cellar wines on offer atm are good.
frozen baby broad beans are a regular buy.

Orangesandlemons77 · 22/10/2022 17:39

I like their pasta sauces and bake for my teens- £1 each from the essentials range

Dammitthisisshit · 22/10/2022 17:42

No.1 Milk Chocolate with Feuilletine & Salt.
yes, this! And 20% off at the moment.

and yes to the fish fingers - nowhere else has any as nice.

AlwaysLatte · 22/10/2022 17:48

I only buy certain things from there so get multiples when I go - sausages (attached, these are the best!), lemon and lime high juice, their hot horseradish sauce, Chapel Down bubbly for special occasions and their lavender fragranced wastepaper basket liners.

AlwaysLatte · 22/10/2022 17:51

Nb I go to Aldi for most things, although I wish they would stock more things like buttermilk, light soy, dryer sheets, dishwasher salt - I always end up having to go elsewhere for those.

AlwaysLatte · 22/10/2022 17:52

Just getting my coat on!!

pagopago · 22/10/2022 17:53

Waitrose No.1 Ice Cream, especially the chocolate one.

Smoked salmon

Salmon terrine

Any of their Essential laundry products.

Waitrose own brand wine.

If vegetarian/vegan, things from the deli aisle.

Their Pure toiletry range used to be great value and quality, but think it's been discontinued.
