Just to add Coop use free range eggs too! We just don’t have one near us so I forgot

and yes to PPs suggestions of sweet potato felafel and reduced fat (yoghurt) coleslaw

Whynobreadpudding · 22/10/2022 10:34

Cornish cheddar cheese.frozen veg.

thejadefish · 22/10/2022 10:38

Their own brand mature cheese. It's got more flavour than other own brands and more flavour than Cathedral City. Also their own brand coco pops, DH says it's the best own brand coco pops out there. For crunchy nut own brand Aldi is the best.

WombatChocolate · 22/10/2022 10:40

Their de-caf tea. Tastes far nicer and less ‘tinny’ than any other brand I’ve tried.

Their CHristmas offers of half price chocolate biscuits or speciality mince oues and panettone.

Also like a couple of their bags for loose vegetables as they can be used in the food caddy.

Hi-juice squash is good - some better flavours like pink grapefruit.

PotKettleB · 22/10/2022 10:44

Microwave chickpea lentil and spinach.

fatbottomgirl67 · 22/10/2022 11:20

Jars of pasatta. 90p are blooming good
Apple and elderflower squash, multi seeded loaf, butter milk crumpets and muffins. If it has a fresh deli some Belton red fox, so much better loose than pre packed

BananaGrana · 22/10/2022 11:25

Loo roll
Frozen chicken kievs
Essentials cheddar
Used to get frozen dill but they’ve stopped selling this which has irritated me immensely.

Livingonjuice · 22/10/2022 11:30

Even more hungry now and want a cheese and coleslaw sandwich for lunch

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 22/10/2022 11:31

Waitrose own brand lemonade -yellow label , not the cloudy .
Waitrose own brand washing up liquid , lovely apple smell (even though its the original) they've stopped doing now Sad
Waitrose White Chocolate Ice-Cream
Waitrose Croissants , pack of 2

motleymop · 22/10/2022 11:32

Waitrose frozen fish fingers - they are a million miles away from Birds Eye etc. They are so good and a freezer staple.

Their own brand organic sausages - they have no nitrites.

Allthegoodnamesarechosen · 22/10/2022 11:37

Leaf tea: Darjeeling and Lapsang. The latter took eight emails to get to the branch, but it finally arrived
Hazelnut plain chocolate
Loose basic muesli
Ghillie and Glen smoked Salmon
Parmentier sardines in olive oil ( not the flavoured ones, just plain).

Waitrose have an excellent selection of wine, I watch the special offers and we go and stock up once a month. I’ve been buying the St Michel Pinot Grigio and Flora Lugana for more than twenty years.

Everything else is more expensive than Tesco for what we find to be the same or less quality. The turnover is slower, so things are not as fresh.

GellerYeller · 22/10/2022 11:39

Beef ribs for DH
Caramel dipping sauce
Essentials set honey
Essentials Fruit and Fibre cereal
Mashed potato
Charlie Bighams cherry pudding(only if it’s on offer as it’s overpriced IMHO)
Ditto Bighams steak and ale pies
Their Pure skin care which seems to have disappeared lately
Apple yum yums
Waitrose cranberry sauce if we are having cheese
Leibniz zoo biscuits(although if you have a European shop nearby they have them cheaper)

StrychnineInTheSandwiches · 22/10/2022 11:44

I always buy my chicken there.
Their avocadoes are much better than other supermarkets' avocadoes. £1.10 each I think.
Love, love, love their Coconut and Lime ice-cream. Often on offer at £2.50.
Roasted and salted pecans. Can never find those anywhere else.
Their tiramisu is delish. Only £3. Cheaper and tastier than the M&S version.
Their bags of frozen croissants are great.

Namechange357 · 22/10/2022 11:47

The New York Cheesecake. So much nicer than the M&S version. Was so gutted when Ocado switched to them!

woodhill · 22/10/2022 11:49

Cannelloni

Fruit, chicken breasts and meat

Avocados

MomwasCasual · 22/10/2022 11:52

Whole black garlic

PauliesWalnuts · 22/10/2022 11:52

Breton cream cheese. I can’t find anywhere else that sells it and it absolutely knocks the socks off Philadelphia.

woodhill · 22/10/2022 11:54

I like their frozen herbs and sofrito

ItsFlippingBoiling · 22/10/2022 11:54

ouch321 · 22/10/2022 09:39

Their cheesecake- New York one-is rather nice.

That is good
Their strength used to be French food but post exit and supply sieges make the a very mediocre offer these days- lost their way a bit.

Mb76 · 22/10/2022 11:56

As a treat, chargrilled artichokes from deli when they are on offer, they are the best - much nicer than M&S which are too vinegary.
their Indian ready meals and sides
Chicken Gordon bleu
Crosta and Mollica fresh and frozen pizzas
their own brand herbal teas
i used to buy their own washing up liquid in a pump bottle but they stopped selling these (maybe it’s just our branch)

Orangesandlemons77 · 22/10/2022 11:58

They seem to have good money off coupons atm, keep finding ones for £20 off £100, (online) and they also sent some for £8 off £40 instore recently- to use with the My Waitrose card.

HappyHolidai · 22/10/2022 12:01

Their own brand apple juice: apple, then with ginger, with elderflower, with mango. I think they must use a different type of apply from Copella or Innocent and it has a more interesting taste & a bit less sweet.

Fearnecuptea · 22/10/2022 12:02

Enko · 22/10/2022 10:08

Ds is a student. We shop as a rule.in waitrose at home. He makes a special.treat trip for their mozzarella balls. Says no other supermarket taste as good. Makes me chuckle.

Omg I was going to say Waitrose own brand mozzarella, it's so delicious! No other brand compares, I've literally tried everywhere.

Honestly make excursions to Waitrose just for the mozzarella 😂

petalpower · 22/10/2022 12:02

Frozen basil
Clementine juice
St Clements hot cross buns

Precipice · 22/10/2022 12:24

Chicken liver.

Like the poster upthread, the chicken liver pate. I actually prefer the Sainsburys chicken liver pate (although that one's not really a chicken liver pate, it's a pork liver and chicken liver pate mix), but there's no big Sainsburys near me. The Findlater one has too much of the brandy taste to be my favourite.

Sourdough bread. Not 'too' sour!

Celeriac, which I can't find anywhere else. I usually get carrots, leaks and parsnips there too.
