Anyone else totally wiped out by Covid jabs?

ArseInTheCoOpWindow · 21/10/2022 09:11

Had my 4th on Monday.

Still got temperature, headache, wobbly legs.
The other 3 put me out of action for a week each time, as this probably will.

Yet when l had Covid l felt crap for a day. No temperature, no wobbliness.

But each jab seems to destroy me😟

@mavismorpoth nor being toady - I’m genuinely interested - why do you trust an online calculator re Covid risk but not other resources re Covid vaccine info?

RoobarbandCustud · 22/10/2022 14:13

I had Covid 4 and flu jabs on Thursday. Felt rubbish past 2 days but almost myself today. I'm not prepared to risk Long Covid and having had flu twice in my life I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy, it took me weeks to recover fully.

The autumn bivalent boosters include omicron

How well do these stop you from catching covid or from passing it on if you have it?

As I said upthread I’ve had 4 vaccines now ( not had autumn yet ) , I’ve been out and about to the theatre , concerts , shopping etc , stopped wearing a mask as soon as you were allowed and I’ve never had covid .

At a population level, the percentage. I have unjabbed relatives who have never had it either without attempting to avoid it.

Golden231 · 22/10/2022 17:14

I have never had any covid jabs, I have always been a believer in natural immunity. That’s said, if you are vulnerable then get jabbed

If you are vulnerable you rely on the majority of others to protect you too.

I don't trust it, I just expect people on this site will.

Golden231 · 22/10/2022 18:07

I am not vulnerable. The jabs were always to protect the individual

SophieJo · 22/10/2022 18:08

I had my 4th booster jab last week and just had a slightly sore arm for a couple of days.

What about the vaccine passes to travel, care workers being fired? In other countries people in many other jobs lost their livelihoods too and faced other restrictions. What was all that for?

Because that worked so well for things like smallpox... Oh, wait...

MidnightConstellation · 22/10/2022 19:23

It’s not at all the same as smallpox though is it?

shinynewapple22 · 22/10/2022 19:25

I had my 4th jab on Thursday alongside the flu jab .

Mildly unwell yesterday but very shivery and achy when I went to bed last night . Feeling OK again today .

I had Covid for the first time this August and whilst I had it fairly mildly, I had symptoms and was testing positive for around 3 weeks. Two months later I still have fatigue and have a marked decrease in my fitness level compared to pre-Covid (and I wasn't particularly fit beforehand ...)

GeorgeorRuth · 22/10/2022 19:26

Had mine 2 weeks ago, been ill ever since, could be coincidence or...

ArseInTheCoOpWindow · 22/10/2022 19:29

Natural immunity didn't work for smallpox.

No as I am no longer having them.

WhichWitchIsTheWitch · 22/10/2022 22:00

I’ve had 6 covid jabs 2xAZ, 3xPf, 1x moderna spikevax. Most recent on same day as flu jab. Been rough for a few days with all of them but still able to go to work, sore arm, temp, achey, flu symptoms. Healthy colleague has had 2/3
days off work with each jab as she felt so unwell. Teens I know with underlying issues who’ve had 3/4 jabs have been completely fine every time. does seem to be luck of the draw.
