What can you not buy as you will just eat it all in one go?

Biscuits, especially M&S all butter or chocolate Viennese biscuits. I dunk them in tea and they are just gone.
Ben and Jerry’s cookie dough ice cream. I only buy it twice a year as I can eat it in one sitting (just did.)
Maltesers. Share bag or even better the little box. I can’t stop until they are all gone.
I wish I could buy food like that and just eat it over a couple of weeks, like one or two biscuits a day.
Fortunately I’m not a crisp person so can completely avoid snacks like that.
What do you try to avoid buying as you just won’t stop eating it?

Those rather weird but utterly compelling chocolate pringle things they sell in Lidl Blush

Firecarrier · 19/10/2022 20:23

Kit kats

I don't particularly have a sweet tooth either but if there's a multi pack in the cupboard I can't stop at 1!

GordonsAlive85 · 19/10/2022 20:25

Cheese TUC biscuits

@dawnfromgavinandstacey nooo keep me away from truffle honey. M&S also does a fantastic truffle cheddar that someone provided at book club. I'd forgotten about it until right now !

Truffle honey is the absolute bomb. (Or just honey and a drizzle of truffle oil if you can't find it.)

Crusty bread, brie, truffle honey and a tiny sprinkle of maldon sea salt is utter heaven.

CakeEatersRUs · 19/10/2022 20:35

Gold bars
Tiger bread
Jaffa cakes
Skips

PrincessSpanky · 19/10/2022 20:35

I am extremely partial to these. Good thing Lidl's does not stock them permanently Blush

There’s plenty more on here you have reminded me of to add to the list.

Chocolate fingers which I can’t buy at all now.
Kitkats are just like eating air. Even the chunky ones are too small so they are just gone.
Victoria sponge. Again I have to avoid. Plus I would add cream.
I don’t like cheesy biscuits or Pringles or Nutella which seem to be popular.

Crisps, chocolate, ice cream, Nutella

MakkaPakkas · 19/10/2022 20:43

Nutella - I'll eat the whole jar with a teaspoon so I actually don't buy it anymore.
I also can't be trusted with biscuits or chocolate.

longcoffeebreak · 19/10/2022 20:43

You said 'all in one go' but not sure by the examples being given people can be actually meaning all in one go?

DarkAndDusty · 19/10/2022 20:43

Comedycook · 19/10/2022 17:38

Mortadella...I end up eating it in the car before I even drive home from the supermarket. Slices and slices of it. I'm obsessed.

Same! It's an illness 😂

longcoffeebreak · 19/10/2022 20:45

I mean I can eat a pack of dried fruit over a day or two or more peanut butter than i would like to every day until it is gone is that what people are meaning? Rather than all in one sitting.

A580Hojas · 19/10/2022 20:50

Twiglets.
Cheddars biscuits.
I'm quite bad with mixed salted nuts too but they are so expensive somehow that holds me back.

ForTheLoveOfSleep · 19/10/2022 20:59

Cadbury white chocolate fingers, orange matchmakers, coconut macaroons

Hovis crackers
wholenut
peanut m&ms

Gherkingreen · 19/10/2022 21:07

M&S pitta chips or blue tortilla chips. Or Tesco finest chocolate chip shortbread.

MeLeeSah · 19/10/2022 21:16

Fox's chocolate rings...literally the whole packet in one sitting (can happily eat 6 then can't leave the rest for fear one of the kids will find them and eat them 😅)
And pickled onion space raiders!

Mogginsthemog · 19/10/2022 21:19

A tub of taramasalata.
Not bought it in years.

Halloween treats for trick or treaters. Already bought two bags of fun size chocolate bars and eaten them myself. 😂

I do that!

Easter eggs. They can sell out early so I have to buy them then I give them to my DH and tell him to hide them - from me

WeeblesWibbleWobble · 19/10/2022 19:08

Anything sweet. I have zero will power!
I end up at sainsburys daily re buying the stuff i got for dh or the kids.

Lol. This is familiar, the re-buying 😆

VirginiaQ · 19/10/2022 21:31

M&S Florentine biscuits. I have even left them in the boot of the car so I don't eat them all 5 mins after I've got home! I tell myself I can only have 2 per evening so I can make them last all week. Nothing works. I wolf them all down in about an hour then feel sick all evening. It's like I revert back to a 5 year old with no self control or appreciation of the consequences. Blush

dawnfromgavinandstacey · 19/10/2022 21:54

@ThreeRingCircus you can get a really nice one by truffle hunters on Amazon.

I love it.

I have the truffle dust but I haven't tried it yet.

My DH and dd hate the smell. I can only have it when they are not home.

They literally gag if I pull it out.

StillMedusa · 19/10/2022 21:55

Tyrrells mature cheddar crisps... the huge bag. Once opened that's it (especially with wine)
Tunnocks Tea cakes here too!
Goats cheese. With anything or on its own.
