What can you not buy as you will just eat it all in one go?

Biscuits, especially M&S all butter or chocolate Viennese biscuits. I dunk them in tea and they are just gone.
Ben and Jerry’s cookie dough ice cream. I only buy it twice a year as I can eat it in one sitting (just did.)
Maltesers. Share bag or even better the little box. I can’t stop until they are all gone.
I wish I could buy food like that and just eat it over a couple of weeks, like one or two biscuits a day.
Fortunately I’m not a crisp person so can completely avoid snacks like that.
What do you try to avoid buying as you just won’t stop eating it?

Halloween treats for trick or treaters. Already bought two bags of fun size chocolate bars and eaten them myself. 😂

CuriousCatfish · 19/10/2022 18:02

Any blue cheese.

Aldi Christmas Florentines. No point buying them ahead of time as will eat them all

Yupz me too. I ate the whole pack last year and had to hide the evidence!

Bretonbear · 19/10/2022 18:04

Hazelnut dark chocolate from Aldi

Waitwhat23 · 19/10/2022 18:04

Bourbon biscuits
Cherries
Pfeffernusse (that's definitely not the German spelling!)
Those trays of tiny wee cracker bites you get in Lidl at Christmas with the pretzels, sesame covered stars etc)

Wavescrashingonthebeach · 19/10/2022 18:04

Bourbon biscuits dunked in coffee
Large bags of supermarket bacon frazzle style crisps

Biscoff spread is not allowed in my house anymore as I can't control myself 😀

AffIt · 19/10/2022 18:06

M&S 'Finest' prawn cocktail, or any amount of Comte cheese.

Oh, and physalis. I bought a punnet to 'garnish' desserts for a dinner party once and ended up eating them all.

Turns out they have a prolific laxative effect.

poppym12 · 19/10/2022 18:08

Bags of Reisen chocolate toffee.

xyzzyx · 19/10/2022 18:09

notprincehamlet · 19/10/2022 18:10

Dark chocolate digestives, houmous with those Italian crackers that look like flippers, M&S salt and vinegar crinkle cut crisps (they hurt your face after a bit but that doesn't put me off), cherries when it's peak cherry season and they're the size of beach balls

mrsjimhopper · 19/10/2022 18:10

Butter is my downfall in life.

I could be a butter expert.

Tesco’s triple chocolate trifle

TrivialSoul · 19/10/2022 18:23

Cheese... Pretty much any cheese but stinky blue cheese and creamy brie type cheeses are my idea of heaven. I don't even pretend to have crackers with them any more. Cheese with cheese is perfectly acceptable!!
