What can you not buy as you will just eat it all in one go?

Biscuits, especially M&S all butter or chocolate Viennese biscuits. I dunk them in tea and they are just gone.
Ben and Jerry’s cookie dough ice cream. I only buy it twice a year as I can eat it in one sitting (just did.)
Maltesers. Share bag or even better the little box. I can’t stop until they are all gone.
I wish I could buy food like that and just eat it over a couple of weeks, like one or two biscuits a day.
Fortunately I’m not a crisp person so can completely avoid snacks like that.
What do you try to avoid buying as you just won’t stop eating it?

Aldi's caramelised biscuit white chocolate ice creams. I bought the mini ones once to eat less and ate 3 instead of just one big one Blush

I end up at sainsburys daily re buying the stuff i got for dh or the kids.

Multipacks of anything really, i.e. chocolate bars, crisps, and even normal packets of biscuits. I simply don't have the "self regulation" and never have had ever since eating disorders as a teenager.

Now I just buy things singly or in smaller packets so I can't stuff my face. Yes, I know it costs more to buy singly, but it's a price worth paying to avoid weight gain, out of control diabetes, etc.

It's strange that I have the self control to buy a single kit kat in a shop or a single bag of crisps for 75p, but not to eat the entire multipack in one go if I buy a multipack of Kit kat or crisps for £1. But it's the only way I can self-regulate.

Morrisons Beetroot Bread pick n mix rolls…they’re huge. I wouldn’t dare buy more than 2.
I swear I’ll only eat one (generously buttered of course) but I can never resist another 😊

Aldi’s Chocolate Covered Lebkuchen. Lethal stuff, it’s not possible to open a packet and eat just a few.

VladmirsPoutine · 19/10/2022 19:17

Dill pickle crisps which don't seem to exist in England!!

I was surprised to eat a whole bar of Lidl's chocolate covered marzipan when I returned to my car - this was a few years ago so haven't bought one since.

@Vegetablesupreme

Cereal for me too. I can't have granola, Alpen or any of the sugary ones in the house. And if there's a tub of cream in the fridge, then it's an even bigger disaster

Pickled onion crisps

Everything else I can regulate by splitting into our snack boxes and I won’t touch anyone else’s share. I’m the only one that likes pickled onion and I just cannot regulate with them.
