Fuck! I'm high. NORMAL?

So I got high as a teen by smoking it. Never smoked if for 15 odd years. Recently started using edibles for pain (I have lupus). No worries. Taken half a few times. Starting taking whole ones about 2 weeks ago, last one Friday. Took one about 7pm tonight and felt good but fine, pain helped, as usual. But then suddenly as of about 9pm I am SO FUCKING HIGH. Like, SuperHans-high. I've eaten about 12 penguins bars and a six pack of veg crisps meant for the kids packed lunch. My husband is here and thinks this is HILARIOUS. I'm headed for the whole block of cheese in the fridge door and laughing my arse off at Gavin and Stacey on iPlayer.

Is this normal? I've never had this while taking edibles before for the past month or so.

A friend who is with me says the unpredictability of edibles is what makes them so much fun. So not a lot of use as advice but he, like your husband, thinks you're hilarious.

The last time I took a whole one I thought my bedroom had detached from the rest of the house and I was scared that the roof was going to come off, then woke up 9 hours later very well rested with an untouched pizza next to me.

Oh dear lol. Edibles are very unpredictable, have a lovely sleep you will be fine. I remember taking one, eating a big bag of crisps and sleeping for 12 hours, kind of a waste.

I make edibles and you really can't predict the potency of them. One time you can get the decarbing process spot on, another time not so great. It also depends on the erm herb quality/drying process and the cannabutter process.

Have you thought of dry vaping? It's a really effective way of taking it for medicinal purposes and not at all like smoking it like a joint.

I think its much more used than you'd think. I don't look "the type" whenever I've told a friend about it.

I used to get mine from a friend but it gets handed around so much you never quite know what you're getting. I get mine prescribed now for medical purposes.

My next batch of edibles are going to be, cooled brownie, pressed down and put in a loaf tin, bottom and sides, then a layer of nutella, then a layer of kinder Bueno, with white chocolate hazelnut spread on top, another layer of brownie, then covered in melted chocolate, set in the fridge then sliced. I'm so excited for them

Ooh edibles can take you a really funny way sometimes. The couple of times I've had them I've ended up absolutely muntered. In a nice giggly, eating everything in sight sort of way. I spent a good 15 minutes laughing at how funny the word brew is. I'm a bit jealous OP.

I've got arthritis and have wondered about edibles. But I'm old and have no idea where to get it from!!!

Do edibles make you as paranoid as when you smoke the stuff? Just asking for a friend who would love to get as high as a kite, but gets really bad paranoia when smoking it 😕
