She calls herself Carrie Jade Williams now and says she’s a fiction writer.

WhiteFire · 06/10/2022 22:30

What a strange and unexpected turn of events.

QuebecBagnet · 06/10/2022 22:31

Apparently Netflix were already thinking about making a documentary about her. www.newstalk.com/news/i-still-had-something-to-say-woman-with-huntingtons-wants-to-make-things-better-for-the-next-generation-1326498

WhiteFire · 06/10/2022 22:29

Are they claiming the woman involved is the same as the one in those news reports?

Yes. Saying there's another name in Instagram. Carrie something. Apparently comments were turned off after someone called her Samantha.

rivermanblows · 06/10/2022 22:41

wait wtf? is this all bullshit?

Facepalmtree · 06/10/2022 22:42

Oh it's carriejadewrites on Instagram.

QuebecBagnet · 06/10/2022 22:44

So apparently she turned her comments off after someone called her Samantha.

I'm half hoping she stops so I can go to sleep but it's so interesting 😂

TwoWrightFeet · 06/10/2022 22:51

What’s this got to do with Maz pugsley? Does she know her or is she just stirring the pot?

No she doesn’t know her. She did a now deleted video in support of the Airbnb woman yesterday because she believed it all. It got loads of views

then got messages from people saying don’t believe it. And sending her links

She posted videos supporting her in the last few days and then says was sent info and screenshot showing the names etc. So now she's telling people what she was sent. Think she feels conned.

We still don't know everything though...

rivermanblows · 06/10/2022 23:07

both could be true I guess: conned a couple under one name and then this air b&b stuff also happening but she’s changed her name

JemimaTab · 06/10/2022 23:10

So .. this Maz person is apparently saying that the disabled woman (who says she is being sued) is in fact a con artist who went on the run over 10 years ago after a surrogacy-related scam???
If true, this is extraordinary. If it is true, I guess it will come out now.
I just thought the claims about being sued were sus (as a lawyer, I just didn’t think her story rang true at all). Also, there’s usually a back-up source when stories like this are reported (comments from a lawyer, or from the people bringing the case, etc) - but here it was all just based on what she said. Very strange.

QuebecBagnet · 06/10/2022 23:13

I can’t see what the scam was, she didn’t appear to be asking for money. Unless it was more of a long term plan, reel people in a bit more and then set up a gofundme? Or just about getting more subscribers on tiktok.

Facepalmtree · 06/10/2022 23:15

Maybe the strangely cheap accessible stuff she's selling? That the man with a van is delivering to the UK in December 🤔

JemimaTab · 06/10/2022 23:17

I don’t think there was a fundraiser. I hope not anyway. I guess if it does turn out all to be fake, and there’s no obvious gain to her in spinning this story, then it’s rather sad and she’s clearly not well.

Oh I totally missed that.

JemimaTab · 06/10/2022 23:18

I wonder if the Netflix documentary was made up too.

What Netflix doc?

JemimaTab · 06/10/2022 23:25

In one of the articles linked above, it is said a Netflix docu about her is in the pipeline.

DysonSpheres · 06/10/2022 23:35

Wow! How's that for a thread update!

Somebody upthread quite a way back said there's more to it. Who was it @DappledYork or @DatingIsDifficult or @Doggydarling ? I know it's someone with a letter D starting name. Not going to find the page. @Wanderingowl called BS a way back too.

So is this just someone who likes attention and needs a lot of it maybe?

Not on TikTok can someone give a synopsis please?

Harmonypuss · 06/10/2022 23:49

I've only read the first page of responses so far, I am going to read more, but I've seen the two videos on the first page and just sat shaking my head at the absolutely disgusting behaviour of these 'guests', not only were they offered their money back and a top-up to be able to afford a hotel but they refused and CHOSE to stay, surely, if this lovely lady's presence (in her own home I might add) was SOOOOOO triggering for them, why the hell did they stay? I suspect they knew exactly what they were doing and what they had planned. This is the height of CFery in my mind.
