What has being able to afford help have to do with it??
Would you have an issue with her if she was overweight, plain and on the minimum wage?
She's a Mum and she works so yes she's a working Mum and among us we earn various wages, I'd be interested to know where you start having a problem with women earning decent money? 50k? 250k?

I don't have any issue with Holly Willoughby being a millionaire. Grin I don't have a problem with working Mums earning a decent wage either. I am a working Mum too believe it or not.

I just don't think HW is comparable to a lot of working Mums when you were saying she was, that's all. Blimey.

Dominos have tweeted 'apologies to anyone waiting on their pizza, we've just received an order from Holly and Phil'.

I've just seen that. Grin

SunflowerSmith · 20/09/2022 18:13

At the risk of coming across as HW's personal fan club here (which I'm not) I don't see what's so terrible about her, she's presenting a daytime, magazine show which is very bland, if she's cheery and laughing she gets called fake and if she's quiet she gets called boring.

As for reading anecdotes about her or any celeb not being nice well that says more about the reader than the person, it's funny how positive stories about various celebs are overlooked for the more tasty gossip to spread.

I wonder how many people in the press who were asked by their bosses to go in the press queue, to do a report said no.
As I said in my first reply I don't think any of the press needed to go but I do wonder why the vitriol is aimed at PS and HW and no other members of the press.

I think that final part is my issue. I don’t believe for a second they meekly toddled along to do as they were told. I believe that Schofield - at least - would strongly influence the production of features.

They used a media pass to go in to see the queen for the purpose of telling us what a “profound” experience it was to see her lying in state - while simultaneously telling us they didn’t go in to see the queen….. I’m sorry, what?!

I think the responses from This Morning, and Phil/Holly are deeply disingenuous and treat people like idiots.

The feature uses footage from the main Westminster feed. The only filming is Holly/Phil gushing afterwards about what an amazing experience it was. An experience they’re now insisting they didn’t actually have.

if they’d acknowledged it was a poor decision and genuinely apologised, this would be far less of a storm. They’re studio presenters, not roving reporters, and this “explanation” is just bollocks.

I agree with this. The “feature” which they were in the hall for, (according to them) was pretty much nothing.
I would have more respect for them if they admitted queue jumping because their schedule of This Morning meant that they didn’t have time to queue. Still poor form but I feel they’ve just lied to everyone today, and not very convincingly

biddyboo · 20/09/2022 19:15

One of the presenters from 5 Live, who was reporting from there, has said that their excuse that they were doing it for work is bollocks as no-one else used their press pass to get to the front of the queue. I reckon they'd get less stick for it if they just owned what they did rather than lying about it.

Bretonbear · 20/09/2022 19:18

It's the lying and covering up that I think is winding a lot of people up now. More than what they actually did.

Chloefairydust · 20/09/2022 19:43

I wonder how many people are going to sign the petition, just had a quick look and the numbers seem to be going up every second. I mean ITV can’t surely ignore that, it just shows how unpopular and disliked these presenters actually are

lollipoprainbow · 20/09/2022 20:55

Apparently she isn't going to resign, she clearly went crying to her bosses and they have let her off. The producers at this morning thinks the sun shines out of her backside.

jokingfox · 20/09/2022 21:00

Tbh I can't stand both of them so yes I will sign it just to get rid of them just for the sake of it.

PoorPaddington · 20/09/2022 21:03

How do people know she’d been crying?

She looked angry to me

sashh · 21/09/2022 08:15

LovingTheseAutumnSnippets · 19/09/2022 21:00

Where can I sign the petition?

If I tell you my post will be deleted.

Correct. In all these events it is the subsequent lying and the arrogance of thinking they can fool the masses that makes the ordinary folk feel very angry. Shame on them.

Mingot · 21/09/2022 11:23

If you Google Holly Phil petition it comes up. It's got about 35k signatures now. They can't ignore it. It would have lots more if it wasn't hard to find.

angeIica · 21/09/2022 11:30

It sounds like they're very disliked aside from the queue jumping do it's a good opportunity to get rid of them?

I don't know much about them, though I've read a couple of the Philip Schofield threads, but I don't like the little I have seen. I'm laughing at Smug and Squeak! Nobody has needed to ask whom is which.

Bettyboo12 · 21/09/2022 20:26

Definitely a witch hunt to get rid of them! I think they or at least Holly has been tipnof her game for a while and when you reach the top you normally come down at some point. I much prefer Ruth and Eamon.

Doeshethinkhesinpeakyblinders · 21/09/2022 20:42

Bring back Eamon and Ruth 🙏

Bettyboo12 · 21/09/2022 20:50

Also why is Phil still wearing his wedding ring? Strange

Farmerazza · 21/09/2022 20:55

gosh it's like a public execution, why should they lose their jobs over this?

MissHavishamsMouldyOldCake · 21/09/2022 20:58

Yeah, it's exactly like a public execution.

Top observation.

A580Hojas · 21/09/2022 21:13

Farmerazza · 21/09/2022 20:55

gosh it's like a public execution, why should they lose their jobs over this?

It is. And so many ghouls sitting around the guillotine with their knitting, just waiting.

Enough4me · 21/09/2022 23:10

I'd like a petition to swap them with Ruth and Eamon.

Bettyboo12 · 21/09/2022 23:15

I don't think they should lose their jobs over this especially if they were doing a story. I thought HW looked visibly upset this morning and the media are definitely fuelling the flames. I honestly think people have genuinely had enough of them though and they should move on to other things.
