My late father would have been there with a bucket and shovel, all that lovely fertiliser for the roses.

PizzaFunghi · 19/09/2022 13:41

I wondered if the whooping and cheering were anti monarchy protestors or something.

Clapping I could sort of understand

Yes I didn't see Zara, Louise or James either.

RunningFromInsanity · 19/09/2022 13:42

They could have got someone in to clear up the horse muck before the hearse drove though.

HansZimmerframe · 19/09/2022 13:42

Jellykat · 19/09/2022 13:41

The clapping is bloody ridiculous, really gets my goat, fgs its not a wedding

And the banging on the metal barriers Confused

Bouledeneige · 19/09/2022 13:42

I don't really mind how anyone reacts

SoupDragon · 19/09/2022 13:42

Do the bearer party have to go to do their duty atWindsor as well?

Kite22 · 19/09/2022 13:42

Thank you @JustLyra and others - it didn't look like him to me.
Maybe I am thinking of one of the other older generation royals.

miserablecat · 19/09/2022 13:42

Hopefully when they get onto a major road with no spectators the RF can sneak a couple of sausage rolls, bag of dorito's and and maybe a red bull to get them through the rest of the day

MarshaBradyo · 19/09/2022 13:42

That was really something

Massively well done by all

Lovely to see London reflected so positively to all those watching - I’m also relieved it didn’t rain

siyanasaysrelax · 19/09/2022 13:42

Why are people cheering

BruceAndNosh · 19/09/2022 13:42

I hope none of those motorbike outriders get whacked in the face with a rose.

liveforsummer · 19/09/2022 13:42

It's trodden in to the road - how in earth wound they have been able to clear that in time?

Andante57 · 19/09/2022 13:42

Have Extinction Rebellion mounted any protests today?

MarshaBradyo · 19/09/2022 13:43

Bouledeneige · 19/09/2022 13:42

Me either

MrsOvertonsWindow · 19/09/2022 13:43

ITV’s coverage has been excellent. Bare minimum of commentary.

Agreed - let the ceremony do the talking.

Charles saluting the coffin 😭😭

He's been phenomenal this past week.

He's barely had a time to privately grieve yet when he's been out in the streets he's met people so warmly and with a smile.

I couldn't barely function when my mum died. I could just about make it to the shop for milk.

SpinCityBlues · 19/09/2022 13:43

littlbrowndog · 19/09/2022 13:41

ITV has no commentary

That's what I've switched to.

RunningFromInsanity · 19/09/2022 13:42

Ooh I'd love to have it for my compost bin.

Think how much there would have been on the streets back in pre-automobile days ... at least it doesn't pollute the air ;-)

purpleme12 · 19/09/2022 13:43

What happens after this? (On the Tele)

AnybodyAnywhere · 19/09/2022 13:43

I can just about tolerate clapping but the whooping is horrendous. It’s not bloody Jerry Springer.

TroysMammy · 19/09/2022 13:43

My poor cat. It's way past his lunch time but he can't sit on the windowsill any longer and is making moves. The Royal Family and everyone else must also be hungry.

vivariumvivariumsvivaria · 19/09/2022 13:43

Is she being buried at Windsor? Not at Westminster cathedral?

Hotandbothereds · 19/09/2022 13:43

TockClicking · 19/09/2022 13:39

Charles saluting the coffin 😭😭

With the hint of a smile I thought, how lovely.

Who got in the cars before they left, I thought it was Charles and those who marched behind but then they were still there?

JustLyra · 19/09/2022 13:43

Kite22 · 19/09/2022 13:42

Thank you @JustLyra and others - it didn't look like him to me.
Maybe I am thinking of one of the other older generation royals.

He has changed a lot in the last few years since he got slightly portlier.

He also (to me) looks totally different depending on if he has his glasses on or not.

Kite22 · 19/09/2022 13:43

TokyoSushi · 19/09/2022 13:36

The pall bearers are really quite young aren't they? Maybe early 20's? Can you imagine how proud you'd be if that was your DS?

I was thinking that
