This is a real good guide for all the timings for tomorrow - www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-60617519

The bit at the end with the Lord Chamberlain will be the hardest to watch I think, signaling the end of his service to her, as will the act of separating her from her crown.

I know everyone isn't a royalist but today will be such a sad occasion.

@KenAdams

Yes,, yes it will. For many of us who have live & respect and a sense of decency.

sadly it'll be minutes before the rude posters leap onto the thread to tell us why it's ridiculous & unimportant and attempt to belittle us.

KenAdams · 19/09/2022 08:32

I really enjoy all the process of it all. Some people will have been training their entire careers for this.

Thanks for this op so many smaller important details to note
After the grandeur of past few days I'm wondering how it can be topped;

MaggieFS · 19/09/2022 08:46

I can't believe how many people are in their seats at 8.30am. I'm sure they've been told to be. Assume they are the lowest ranked guests and these are the timings which have been worked out to allow the dignitaries and then the procession to all be on time; but what are they to do for 2.5 hours? Presumably they can't just wander around!

Paranoidandroidmarvin · 19/09/2022 08:48

I am up and watching. Wanted to see everyone walk in. Was also surprised at how many people are all ready sitting.

MaggieFS · 19/09/2022 09:12

I am watching on Sky News after I found the BBC coverage of Edinburgh inane. However Sky is also now doing that annoying thing of interviewing the crowds.

Is anyone yet purely showing the arrivals at the Abbey?

elizaregina · 19/09/2022 09:17

There must be loos etc. It's a hell of a time to sit and wait

elizaregina · 19/09/2022 09:17

Chris witty is already in.

thats what I wonder.

Isthisexpected · 19/09/2022 09:20

I'm not a royalist but will absolutely be watching and I shed a tear watching the last people leave the Abbey this morning. Have got another couple of hours sleep and am also surprised how many people are there.

The laughable irony of this statement..

elizaregina · 19/09/2022 09:20

I imagine there must be loos However, how many for this lot!
I wonder where all theses guests go after?

Is something laid on for them or the higher-up guest's?.
What will biden do?

Does palace put on a reception?

MinglingFlamingo · 19/09/2022 09:24

Not sure if there's a wake after for those not going on to Windsor late.

I know a lot of Heads of State are leaving this afternoon/ this evening. Especially as there's a summit in New York later this week so some are going on to that.

Think it was said in bbc news at sometime over the weekend

MaggieFS · 19/09/2022 09:28

There was a reception at the Palace last night so I guess that's it.

Heyyebskeikwbevg · 19/09/2022 09:32

Can anyone confirm if the catholic faith is not represented in the procession of religious leaders? Looking at the order of service, I can see leaders of Jews, Muslims, Sikhs and Jains etc as well as all ’families’ of the Cristian faith from the four nations eg. Methodist, free church.

The pope was invited as head of state for the Vatican and he’s sent the Vatican’s foreign minister. But no religious leader included in the procession. Did they decline the invite?

Many catholics are British citizens and I thought we’d moved past the historic division.

derxa · 19/09/2022 09:32

There's live streaming no commentary on the BBC

Likewhatever · 19/09/2022 09:43

Watching from outside the UK through a VPN, the no commentary version is available as an option on BBC iPlayer.

StartupRepair · 19/09/2022 09:44

It is all quite extraordinary, isn't it?

KenAdams · 19/09/2022 09:45

Oh that's useful to know. I haven't turned on yet to avoid the inane time filling.

We're heading to my parents to watch it shortly with the rest of my family.

This marching is extremely impressive.

Elderflower14 · 19/09/2022 09:50

Very pleased to see a BSL signer on BBC2... Ds2 is able to watch and understand everything... His friend organised a petition and 5,000 signed.

Bouledeneige · 19/09/2022 09:50

I like all the kilts and variety of uniforms

Benefi · 19/09/2022 09:52

The bands - wow. HMQ's favourite tunes apparently.

I kind of know I'm being manipulated with all of the pomp and ceremony, but still.

Likewhatever · 19/09/2022 09:54

I’ve switched back to BBC1 for the moment, the no commentary stream is only showing the Abbey as far as I can see.

MarshaBradyo · 19/09/2022 09:54

Oh I missed it, the people going in, I thought it all started later

The trees look beautiful as a backdrop
