What's suddenly not in shops near you?

I've been trying to buy cream of tartar for all of September. None in Coop or Tesco in three towns. A friend bought the only tub on the shelves of an upmarket foodie shop further afield today. She lent me it so I could take what I needed for scones promised for a village event, but she wanted it back. There's bicarb soda and baking powder - why no cream of tartar?

Try baby food. I used to keep a couple of jars in the cupboard for roast pork emergencies.

Not had any shortages I've noticed at all near us. Prices have gone up but I've still been able to buy everything we need without any shortage issues.

Own brand calpol and nurofen. I hate having to spend over £3 on calpol but the generic stuff is no where to be seen here.

Mitchum roll on anti perspirant. Seems really rare these days.

Packed beetroot in vinegar, I haven been able to get it at Tesco, Waitrose or M&S, they have the ones in chilli and stuff like that but not the plain one

Pizza Express brand Passata. I'm starting to think they have discontinued it tbh. It's the best out there, so sad!

Saying that, there is no applesauce in Lidl, all the other supermarkets have it 😂

An opened jar of apple sauce lasts for many weeks in the fridge. I use a very small amount each time. Homemade apple sauce needs to be eaten within a few days.

Before anyone suggests it… Life is too short to be filling ice cube trays with apple sauce, freezing & defrosting each time I want a teaspoonful.
Must be nice to have all the time in the world.

You are in for an exciting time at the supermarket @KnickerlessParsons There are lots of things you can buy ready made. You never have to peel an apple again, if you don’t want to.

Lidl has had no soya milk for weeks..managed to get some in Aldi though.

Tescos last weekend, no super sensitive face wash, no frozen pepperoni pizza, and no 2kg bags of granulated sugar.

I bought the less sensitive version and a 1kg bags. And we had spaghetti meat balls on Friday night instead. We coped 😀

standard 2l semi-skimmed milk bottles, haven't been able to find for weeks.

Distilled white vinegar, I had to buy from Amazon! I think that's just local though as DM said she had some in her local store.

Lamb sausages. Beef, chicken, pork all fine, i even found version and wild boar - but no spicy lamb sausages anywhere.

Alka Seltzer was unavailable during August and has only been back in the shops since last week.

Every time I go to a supermarket there are gaps on the shelves. We've noticed Go Ahead yoghurt bars are not available now and there are numerous other things.

Nescafe toffee nut latte sachets. They’ve got all the other flavours. Not in any supermarket.

Own brand shreddies - in the past few weeks ocado has failed to deliver, Lidl, Sainsburys and Asda have all been out of stock when I’ve gone to look for them (not all at the same time).

Cheap canned chickpeas.

Apparently there is a global shortage of chickpeas coming.

Strawberry milk powder. DD has been craving some after being poorly and it's nowhere.
