So the question is, would you join it? I’m just not very patient and don’t think I could do it!

You can look at old photos of the land on google earth HERE FOR INFO HOW. It might show how the no man's land looked a while back?

No but Phil gave a not unreasonable offer for my Ford Phocas (without even being asked)

the80sweregreat · 16/09/2022 20:32

I bet a few celebs managed to sneak in round the back to be fair.
I did read that Suzanna Reid and her mum queued up though!

William and Harry are doing a similar vigil tomorrow, both in military dress.

Yes, with their cousins that were there tonight.

As the day of the funeral draws near, are people who have been in the queue leaving Westminster Hall and just joining a new queue to be streetside for the funeral? I'm thinking in for a penny, in for a pound, may as well stay and get the full experience.

The funeral route will be easier though. Much more room. I’d imagine people would be too tired to stay. I still can’t believe the hall is open till 6.30am on the day.

I saw about 30 seconds of the vigil. Too difficult. I sort of wish I could have made a grand gesture for my dad.

When I exited late this morning there were people camped out with chairs and sleeping bags (I think) along the route

I love that Princess Anne was dressed like Napoleon! (Not an expert on military uniforms obv Grin).

Does anyone recognise anyone else on the balcony? I saw Zara and Mike Tindall.

The York princesses and their husband, then you had Peter Phillips his ex wife autumn and their children. I saw princess Michael of Kent, also the Duke of Gloucester was there.

Missed the action on live stream last night 😩 man got arrested for approaching Queen's coffin last night around 10pm.

stillherenow · 17/09/2022 07:46

Yes me too. I was fast asleep after my time waiting in the queue and being up for 36hrs. Id like to see if I can watch it on the live stream. Does anyone have exact timings of when it happened?

OrangePumpkinLobelia · 17/09/2022 08:39

Gosh i am loving BBC1 Charlie Stayt talking to people in the queue. Such joy such goodwill. People so happy and upbeat and talking about their new friends they have met in the queue. It's so special.

RedToothBrush · 17/09/2022 12:10

Didn't join the queue? Still want to show off and pretend to your friends and work colleagues that you did? Just so you can say 'you were there', even when you were actually at home nice and warm and snoring in your bed.

Well, you can indeed PROVE your dedication and loyalty to the Queen, by getting over to ebay and buying yourself a used queue wristband to keep for posterity.

It'll cost you mind. They are selling for up to £200 a pop.

That's actually kind of marvellous.

Had to look...it's not just they've been listed at some max price. People are bidding on them! Wow...

I wondered how long it would be before someone tried to get closer to the coffin, I'll be relieved to see her buried now, it's all getting a bit much!!

It says he was arrested - is there anything he can/should be charged with?

lollipoprainbow · 17/09/2022 13:34

@Antarcticant no that wasn't really my point, just feel its time she was safely buried and at peace now.

I'm assuming the same time King Charles etc were there last night so 7pm :)

ShamedBySiri · 17/09/2022 14:39

Aggh. There's a queue for everything today. My nearby Abbey has a special Evensong service I thought I'd go to at 15:30.
I've queued for ages to park. Walked past the queue for the service. 🙄
Thought I'd nip to M&S for a quick pee before joining the queue but I'm in another queue.

I feel I'm doing my bit for British queuing. Grin

I've just looked on the TV guide, and the proposed vigil coverage is set to begin at 5:45.

Wouldn't want you to wait till 7 and find you've missed it, if you want to watch it live on BBC One.

Yes, with their cousins that were there tonight.

Yes for just 15mins.

I wouldn't queue 12hours for anything, least of all a wooden box with a corpse in it.
