When the Queen died?

I was stirring dinner and dd was laying the table. I suspect a lot of us were cooking dinner. A moment we'll always remember.

Bathing the kids, whilst trying to listen to the news on the TV in my bedroom over the deafening splashes of the DC! When she actually died, probably in Costa with DC2.

In M&S food hall

Walking my dogs. Phone in pocket and got the notification.

I was playing my violin, an Etude in B flat major to be exact and choking on rosin.

When it was announced - watching the coverage on my phone while feeding DD before putting her down in her cot. No idea what I was doing when it actually happened, they haven't confirmed the time have they?

Sat on the sofa breastfeeding my 8week old daughter. She's been smiling and cooing since, bless her.

In my office. I was just about to leave, picked up my phone to check for messages, and saw it on a WhatsApp message.

Had been watching it most of the afternoon waiting on an announcement. Went over to my parents and we sat down for dinner. The tennis was on and we got a text from my brother in America to say that it was sad about the queen.

Helping at Beavers! Gutted as I ended up watching the news all afternoon (while WFH) and then I had to go out.

At the exact moment it was announced - pulling the cork out of a bottle of wine to have with dinner because it's my birthday.

Sitting with my daughter and Granny at Granny's house. We lost my Grandfather in April and she didn’t want to hear the news alone so we went round straight from school and had dinner together.

If she passed earlier I was working, cooking tea, at the vets.

When the news was on I was sat on the sofa thinking she’s probably already gone/it’ll be soon. The presenters seemed upset or nervous.

I got a glass of wine and they made the announcement. I watched a few minutes more then scrolled mn / put a film on which I’m not really watching.

Very sad. Truly the end of an era as I can’t imagine anyone else doing what she did and doing it so well. (Sorry Charles).

I was in an online meeting and the message flashed up on my screen.

Preparing dinner in the kitchen when my husband came downstairs and told me. It had just flashed up on his phone as a BBC news announcement. Such a sad day 💔

Eating lasagne and watching the coverage with Huw Edwards (who is doing a fantastic job given he’s clearly upset)

Dropping DD1 off for her first Guides meeting.

I am on a short break in the NE, including picking up a new passport and I’ve been following the online updates all afternoon.

The writing on the inner page of my new passport refers to her majesty - I guess new passports will be printed referring to his majesty?

I will certainly never forget the day that I got my new passport!

Preparing for an imminent interview. Broke off to watch the apparent announcement at 6pm which never came. Momentarily left the room to miss said announcement.
