And if you only need 5 supervisors for the whole hospital and 50 cleaning staff how do all 50 get promotion to the better paid position?
I heard in the news later in today it's for those working 12 hours who will expected to find more work and they were raising the expectations for working to the same as those working 15 hours.
I'm not sure if the same caveats will apply for lone parents, caters and those with non school aged children.
The theory of getting people into work is good. We should have a country where people can work hours around their other commitments. I remember when woman could work 10-2 in shops like Woolworths - I did it!
But a) those roles don't exist and it's too many zero hours contracts and b) wages haven't risen with inflation or cost of living.
And most importantly back the original pro lane of their announcement - you need 1 supervisor for X number if staff. Promotion isn't available for everyone. Those low paid jobs still exist.
But they don't like when those low lid workers strike for more pay so they don't need benefits either.
I'm thinking they really don't have a grip on reality 🤦🏼♀️
