How do you feel when you wake up

When I wake up I always feel sick, lightheaded and a bit nauseous. It always goes when I've been moving around for a bit but I'm beginning to wonder if it's an issue or if it's a common way to feel when you wake up.

I've got two young kids so I've always put it down to being tired

How do you feel when you wake up?

Like I've been dug up.

TooHotToTangoToo · 28/08/2022 22:22

Headache most days, thenI have to stand up for a few minutes until my knee and ankle start working again

Tinkerblonde1 · 28/08/2022 22:23

Sick and tired too.
Sure it isn't normal though.

Passthecake30 · 28/08/2022 22:25

A bit sick until I’ve eaten, I think it’s probably reflux

Dazedandconfused10 · 28/08/2022 22:26

Usually angry because I've been woken by an alarm

😂😂😂

I can't remember the last time, I opened my eyes and thought, wow, I slept well. ready for anything now.

ConcernedMum22 · 28/08/2022 22:27

Still shattered and body stiff and aching sometimes. Wondering if it's age (I'm 36) and just what happens or if it's an issue 🤷🏻‍♀️

firsttimemomma93 · 28/08/2022 22:28

Like I've got a hangover! (Without actually drinking) 😒

Same. Queezy, achy and like I need another hours sleep

pumpkinpie01 · 28/08/2022 22:29

Tired , and promising myself I will go to bed earlier that night, then never do.

Savingpeoplehuntingthings · 28/08/2022 22:29

Tired but not sick.
Acing joints - age, 50 peri menopausal.
In need of coffee.

purpleme12 · 28/08/2022 22:31

Just tired but not any of these other things above

firsttimemomma93 · 28/08/2022 22:31

@Arnaquer omg yes the aches! 🥲

Unremarkable · 28/08/2022 22:35

Angry. Sick. Depressed. Doesn’t matter what has happened the night before. I guess I’m not a morning person. Doesn’t matter if it’s 5am or 10am. I have to get up at 5am for my work but can sleep later at weekends. No difference. Wake up hating the world, regardless.

Exactly this ^.

59, raising a 2.5 year old fosterling (until recently had a 1 year old as well), post menopausal, can't remember the last time I slept well but the feeling soon passes for me, thankfully.

Galaxyinmypocket · 28/08/2022 22:36

Absolutely shattered, achy and fuzzy head. I never feel rested and recently I've started waking with a headache. I need a few coffees before I can function.

ChipsRoastOrBoiled · 28/08/2022 22:38

Stiff as a board and in a lot of pain. I hate mornings.

NuffSaidSam · 28/08/2022 22:38

Tired, if it's a weekday and I've been woken by an alarm.

Well rested and happy mostly on the weekend though.

The only time I wake up feeling sick is when I'm anxious about something coming up that day or in a bad patch of general anxiety.

Pinkpeony2 · 28/08/2022 22:40

Aching most mornings. Feel half dead.
Some mornings where I’m not in a rush as much to get up, I snooze on and off and have a really god stretch in different positions. Starfish in the bed. That’s really nice. Then I usually sit propped up and drink the cup of coffee that’s bought to me by DH every morning. By the time I’ve finished that I feel ok.

BCBird · 28/08/2022 22:41

Not great to be honest. 52 menopausal, sleep problems and lots of emotional issues at present. I am generally a morning person.

FindingMeno · 28/08/2022 22:42

I am disgustingly cheerful and active.
I'm a morning person.

YukoandHiro · 28/08/2022 22:44

Same. How young are your children? My youngest still wakes at least once and also starts her day at 5.30am latest. I reckon I average 4 hours quality sleep a night - not always in a row. I put it down to exhaustion. Sure it will improve as the kids get older

RiderGirl · 28/08/2022 22:22

Like I've been dug up.

Hahah - this made me lol

RoseMartha · 28/08/2022 22:46

Like I could sleep for another few hours as I usually scrape by on an average of 5-6 a night.

Do you think your BP is a bit low first thing inthe morning @Motherofmonsters

maddy68 · 28/08/2022 22:46

I was exactly like that. Until I resigned. Much less money but so much happier
