How do you feel when you wake up

When I wake up I always feel sick, lightheaded and a bit nauseous. It always goes when I've been moving around for a bit but I'm beginning to wonder if it's an issue or if it's a common way to feel when you wake up.

I've got two young kids so I've always put it down to being tired

How do you feel when you wake up?

@Motherofmonsters that sounds like anxiety to me. I get it too.

I feel sorry for us all but I have to say, I’m finding comfort in there being so many of us in this boat! I was under the impression everyone else woke up motivated and rested, and skipped to the kettle with a big smile. 😂

That lot toddled off to bed yawning two hours ago.

Definitely. I don't drink and I still feel shit!
Thought most people woke up rested rather than me who looks like something out of hocus pocus muttering FFS as I make tea

If i haven’t gotten enough sleep, I feel lightheaded and like I need to vomit. I’ve been that way for most of my life.

these days I also tend to wake up in pain in multiple places.

JaneJeffer · 29/08/2022 00:08

Terrible. It's the cortisol. Takes 2 coffees and an hour to feel "normal"

chubbachub · 29/08/2022 00:08

Like I've ran a marathon in my sleep

MissingNashville · 29/08/2022 00:08

If I’m still tired, I can feel a bit sick, but as long as I’ve had enough sleep, I feel good.

How much sleep do you get? Do you eat well? Exercise? Drink enough? Are you on any medication?

IsJohnReadyToMakeAComeback · 29/08/2022 00:10

I sleep pretty well and in the mornings I feel really good, but I have MS and that good feeling is gone by 10am when I want to go back to sleep.

Neverendingdust · 29/08/2022 00:12

Drink a shit tonne of water throughout the day.

Don’t eat at least 2 hours before sleeping.

Drink 1 pint of water as soon as you wake up to rehydrate yourself

Take a multivitamin (Well Woman etc)

bluedomino · 29/08/2022 00:14

Pain. Pain and more pain. Overwhelming pain when trying to walk to the toilet. I feel like i weigh 50 stone and my throat is so dry I cant speak. Get to kitchen, take my morphine and make a coffee. Wait until it kicks in a bit and drag myself around for about 3 hours until I need to sleep again. My life is dictated by pain, it stops me sleeping at night so I feel slow and creaky when I wake up. I'm caring for a parent so now I need to get up twice a night. I wish humans didn't need sleep.

caringcarer · 29/08/2022 00:40

Still tired because I don't sleep well ever. Achy as 61 now and the backache is horrendous, especially first thing.

Like I've been dug up.

😂 can't top that!

Manicpixidreamgirl · 29/08/2022 00:43

When my alarm wakes me up, I feel like I’m made of lead and my brain is fuzzy. Then I snooze, and snooze and snooze and feel worse each time.

When I wake up naturally before my alarm, I feel absolutely fine. It’s laziness that stops me getting out of bed and instead I choose to dose back off and wait for the alarm. Then I feel like lead and fuzzy…

Like I've been dug up.

This.

I'm up at 8am... I think it takes till around 10pm before I stop craving brains and wanting to bite people.

HippyLife · 29/08/2022 01:02

Shit 😂

vodkaredbullgirl · 29/08/2022 01:24

The walking dead 😆

midsomermurderess · 29/08/2022 01:51

Tired. I sleep dreadfully. I get up and think, 'God I'm tired'. Not a great start.🙂

onlythreenow · 29/08/2022 02:41

A bit stiff sometimes, but I generally leap out of bed and am ready to go! I've always been good in the mornings. Even when I had cats waking me several times during the night by banging on the door I always felt okay by the time I got up. I'm 63 btw.

LondonQueen · 29/08/2022 02:45

Like I've been asleep for 5 seconds, I always wake up feeling unrefreshed.

This!

SpaghettiSquash · 29/08/2022 02:54

Headache and stiff and achey. I struggle to get up and downstairs. It used to take a few minutes for the stiffness to go and I'd be fine but it now lasts for much longer.

mackthepony · 29/08/2022 02:58

I do get shot quite a lot in my dreams though 🤔

^^

😂

@SilverLiningPlaybook

I have an air purifier and it really helps. Used to wake up with sore throat every morning but now now.
I've always been a morning person can't tell if it's helped improve my mood.

Op, I have woken up feeling sick and not hungry for the past 8 weeks. I've done a pregnancy test 4 times as I thought I could be pregnant but I'm not.
No idea why I feel sick and it does worry me. I've lost half a stone in thG time, too. Apart from that, I feel fine?!

Thats interesting. What make is it please?

SilverLiningPlaybook · 29/08/2022 04:14

I also go through phases ( like now) when I wake about four or five in the morning and then can’t sleep for two or three hours. I fall back asleep and then can’t get up. It’s horrible.

UnshakenNeedsStirring · 29/08/2022 07:33

Like I have been dragged through a hedge. Gagging for coffee, angry with the world
