PTSD from Tinder Ghosting

So I don’t know if anyone here has been following this so I apologise if there’s already been threads about it, but if not I wondered what people thought of all the online talk about supernatural forces causing trauma by using online dating to lure women into especially spirit receptive locations, then abuse them in supernatural ways. “ghost in the machine” I think is the phrase when a spirit uses technology in this way. Makes sense when you think about it, why wouldn’t bad spirits adapt to a technological world just like they adapted and haunted ships and aeroplanes etc? It’s logical when you think about my it.

I read several really traumatic accounts from women that had met a man they came to know as “Daniel” on tinder and went to a location to meet him (which was a house in Yorkshire) where once they arrived they were greeted by “Daniel” and he let them into the house, but then he disappeared and the door slammed shut and wouldn’t open. Then for the rest of the night they were haunted in the dark by voices of Demons calling themselves “Legion” and then at last once the women were really frightened the Demons took physical form and basically gang banged the women for hours until dawn. All the women said they kind of just woke up in morning and the door was open and they were in a derelict house.

Not surprisingly all of the women have PTSD about this as well as trauma from being mocked by people who don’t believe them (which I think is really nasty considering the assualt element)

I just wondered if anyone had had any experiences like this or knew anyone who had? And what they made of the whole thing? Also do you think Spirits are now being influence by online misogynistic dating culture and it’s radicalising them to do these kind of extreme hauntings?

I don’t know maybe I wouldn’t use tinder or other popular apps but would use a smaller app for now for safety. I don’t know

No.
The dead are not using hook up apps to lure people into remote locations in order to haunt them.

There's a sentence I never thought I'd type.

Although I now have a good idea for a horror story so thanks.

Do we get to read it once you've finished the first draft?

OP, if you can DM me the name of your dealer I'd be more than appreciative. Regards.

I don't think I've ever read such utter shite on here. And that's saying something. Demented.

I just wonder if people who do have some experience with spirits or hauntings think women should know about this so they take more precautions when using these apps rather than just going into house expecting normal decent men?

Reguardless of demon and spirits just don't go to strangers' homes?

Never has a username been more appropriate.

There is no such thing as fibre in the spirit world.

ParasiticMicrowasp · 20/08/2022 11:06

So, if the ghosts are on Tinder...

does that mean I'm finally in with a chance with Steve McQueen?

Pollyjun · 20/08/2022 11:06

It’s a made up story OP.
or
Someone who had a traumatic real experience and has imagined or made up the supernatural parts.

Popsicle33 · 20/08/2022 11:09

I think you should go back to standing in front of the mirror and play Bloody Mary 😏

Rainbowshit · 20/08/2022 11:10

😂😂 loving the replies that didn't read the full OP.

Yes! Or there's a miscommunication and you end up with Ken Dodd.

RosaMoline · 20/08/2022 11:16

This thread (going by the title) is absolutely not what I expected!
to the poster hoping for a chance with Steve McQueen, A young Oliver Reed or Richard Burton for me please 😍

Brings a whole new meaning to being 'ghosted'.

Use pay only sites. Ghosts have terrible credit ratings and can't get credit cards.

This.

I suspect urban myth or out right trolling for the "accounts" - or some TV series plot line.

One recent series on Sky I think about realtor selling haunted houses and ghost busting and normal houses to pay bills - they had a plot line where a ghost had hired them to get rid of bunch on non rent paying humans from one of his rental properties - only became clear one they were getting paid.

We’re fully into Mumsnet bingo here. I’m just waiting for ‘gaslighting’ and ‘controlling’ and boom, full house.

I'm disappointed to discover upon googling that OP has invented this on the spot. I was rather hoping it was another bollocks rabbit hole I could disappear down.

Same 🙄

WomanStanleyWoman2 · 20/08/2022 11:30

The house didn’t appear derelict when they went there - only the next morning. It changed appearance that was why they went in and were confused and the police didn’t believe them

To be fair, that’s happened to me too. Although it was the bloke rather than his house that looked decidedly more derelict the next morning.

🤣

So that proves it's a made up story rather than some elaborate scheme by a group of men luring people to a house and faking a haunting in order to rape their victims.

Leafy3 · 20/08/2022 11:43

See, this is why I won't use Tinder!
