The brief was "chocolate heaven"... would you be happy with this? And how much would you pay for it?

Wow - looks great and fits the brief in my opinion! I would expect to pay £50ish.

Is that including VAT?

Not a lot. I would be saving up for the lifelong diabetic medication I would need after eating it!

HappyBinosaur · 21/08/2022 09:38

@ChagSameachDoreen I’m sure the person who ordered it won’t be eating the entire cake themselves. What a ridiculous comment!

What is the ice cream made of?

Does anyone know?

The OP would know, of course, but If she has any sense she will have muted the thread to avoid seeing the twattish comments. My guess is it's an ordinary ice cream cone with piped vanilla buttercream, sprinkles and a flake. Very effective too.

Cap89 · 21/08/2022 10:45

Realise I am very late to the game on this one, but the easy get out for OP here is that she actually legally can’t charge anything for it, even if just covering ingredients, if she’s not registered with the council. I appreciate basically no one knows this and do this all the time (I used to before I started an actual business doing it) and obviously it’s very unlikely anything would ever come of people doing it casually. But it is technically true, so just tell your friend you can’t charge her. Lovely cake though, bet your friend loved it :)

Can you normally not show restraint? Have you sought help for those behaviours?

Good job it wasn't made for you then isn't it?

Personally I'd remove the ice creams, one doughnut and the thing at the back. Less is more IMO

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 22/08/2022 08:29

Rather pointless to post that now, though, isn't it? The OP posted four days ago. The cake was made and must by now have been eaten.

Jojofjo44 · 23/08/2022 10:25

That's amazing. I'd expect to pay between £30-50.
