I feel so badly for her family. it’s so hard to be powerless when you see someone you love spiraling. I have a family member that at one point I was convinced was going to go out on a similar fashion.
I just hoped that he didn’t take anyone else with him. He miraculously managed to turn his life around and I am honestly amazed that he did. Her family wasn’t as lucky. The simultaneous guilt and anger has got to be overwhelming.

I don't have the foggiest who she is, but by the sounds of it, it was a horrible way to die.

the lack of empathy is disgusting

toomuchlaundry · 12/08/2022 20:20

Would people be so sorry for her if she had killed someone whilst driving under the influence?

WhileMyGuitarGentlyWeeps · 12/08/2022 20:21

How sad. I know she was under the influence etc when she crashed - and other people were injured, but this is no time to pull out the 'she asked for it' card.

A gorgeous talented actress has died aged just 53. And she had many demons. So don't judge her. No-one is perfect! Thankfully no-one else has died.

R.I.P. Anne Heche. Sad

MrsTerryPratchett · 12/08/2022 20:25

The householder of the house she drove into has serious injuries apparently.

I hope her executors make very sure they get the healthcare and compensation they need and deserve. I have a great deal of sympathy for people with substance misuse disorders, but they are not the only victims of their addictions.

Poor Anne, another victim of violence in childhood.

Ffs if you can’t say anything nice…

LimboLass · 12/08/2022 20:26

No sympathy here

HannahSternDefoe · 12/08/2022 20:28

erm, there's some confusion about if she's dead on twitter...
according to family spokesperson she's brain dead on life support.

I’m with @WaitingForWinter1. Only sympathy I have is for her poor kids having to live with losing their mother in such a reckless, needless way.

Pure luck she didn’t kill someone.

I saw an interview with a firefighter and a police officer at the scene who both said the person in the house was luckily at the opposite side of the house when the crash occurred and they were able to escape the fire with very minor injuries.

ReturnoftheMacbook · 12/08/2022 20:30

The poor woman she drove intos house looked devastated when she was trying to salvage some of her belongings. It’s always sad when someone dies and what happened to her when she was a child and her mother’s callousness towards her as a child along with her disassociated state it awful. What a waste she didn’t get effective help to prevent the world of pain that this perpetuates.

She has definitely passed away! Multiple sources confirm it, and her family have verified it!

Nearly hit someone prior to her accident too, absolutely no excuses for driving under the influence of any substance.

Would you have empathy if a drug or drink driver killed a member of your family.

Stomacharmeleon · 12/08/2022 20:33

I think it's awful The mail have chosen those photos when discussing her sad death.
And it IS sad and tragic.
Why would you show a picture of a woman trying to 'escape from the gurney' when she had massive burns/ brain injury.
She would have been in huge amounts of distress.
I really wish I hadn't clicked...

And before anyone bleets on I lost my cousin aged 2 on Christmas Eve as the result of a drunk driver. You can still have empathy.

ToffeeNotCoffee · 12/08/2022 20:33

There also was no alcohol in her bloodstream.

No, just cocaine. So, that's alright then.

What a terrible legacy for her children, the manner in which she died. So, she's traumatised her children just like she suffered childhood trauma.

MrsLargeEmbodied · 12/08/2022 19:53

how do you all know she was troubled?

Her father sexually abused her.
He has a lot to answer for.

xJoyfulCalmWisdomx · 12/08/2022 20:35

I feel shocked though, when she sat bolt upright on the stretcher, I thought she would recover

powershowerforanhour · 12/08/2022 20:36

"Massively underrated actress."

She refused to suck Harvey's dick:

www.google.com/amp/s/www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/general-news/anne-heche-says-harvey-weinstein-fired-her-she-rejected-him-1078510/amp/

Also , she came out as lesbian while she was still bankable and cut her hair quite short, so not even typical "fantasy fuckable threesome lesbian" acceptable wank fodder for men.

Neither very good for a woman's career in Hollywood.

I feel sorry for her surviving sister Abigail- all four siblings dead, plus her messed up useless possibly abusive father, and her mother sounds not the full shilling either.

CPL593H · 12/08/2022 20:36

I am sorry that she had such a horrible and premature death and very sorry if a traumatic early life caused the issues that meant she acted as she did.

Hopefully it's true that no one else was seriously hurt in the events of last week but if so, it is a matter of luck alone. I don't feel that the need to say "something nice" and "empathy" comes in to it and just sounds sentimental and trite, because her actions could have resulted in multiple deaths other than hers. Again, just luck they didn't.

InFiveMins · 12/08/2022 20:38

Rest in Peace, Anne.

It's very sad for everyone concerned, particularly her children.

How do you know that.

Has he been convicted?

A580Hojas · 12/08/2022 20:39

I think this is a classic example of the "be kind" message gone wrong. Presumably no one forced her to get in her car and drive it when she was intoxicated? If she'd run over a child would you be saying "but she was depressed". Come on.

BoreOfWhabylon · 12/08/2022 20:39

Unfortunately, that's the nature of severe burn injuries, especially respiratory burns. They get much worse over the hours and days after the burn.

MrsLargeEmbodied · 12/08/2022 20:40

the mail shouldnt be allowed to show those photos/videos
