What has mumsnet MADE you buy?

So when my almost one year old was a tiny newborn and I was up at ungodly hours I found myself on a thread which was something along the lines of what has mumsnet MADE you buy.

A load of people said a Eufy so I obviously brought one in my sleep deprived state. 😂 No regrets though!

So I thought I’d make another thread inspired by it to see if there’s anything else I should be buying!

Someone mentioned the app Dipsea on the sex board, so I got that, £50 for the year. I love it. The Satisfyer Pro 2, also.

feistyoneyouare · 22/07/2022 17:01

A robot hoover and a Charlotte Tilbury eye shadow pencil. (Random or what 😂)

I purposely don't read the beauty advent calendar threads, because if I did I would want to buy all the advent calendars. 😂

Tesco cranberry & cashew nut loaf 😋

I like the feeling of the chemical reaction as it hits your hair.

Could you please link to this? Am trying to find it!

Freckledot · 22/07/2022 17:16

The Dove perfume and oil, and the Italian Currency from perfumeparlour. And the Nivea oil too.

Whirlygiggles · 22/07/2022 17:18

So many things, can't remember.

What neck fan is recommended?

LoveLarry · 22/07/2022 17:19

An airfryer. Love it
Velvetiser. Love it
Footner. Love it

Lakeland heated airer. I hate it with a passion

RishiRich · 22/07/2022 17:21

Yes, Footner! I forgot about that, despite spending quite some time yesterday helping it along with a foot soak.

Ammonites · 22/07/2022 17:25

An eco-cloth mop and an instapot. I’ve used both today actually and use them both regularly.

EspeciallyDeIighted · 22/07/2022 17:33

I'd never heard of a Eufy either, must be on the wrong threads.

Boots Curl Creme - useless
Korean scrubby mitts - don't work at all on me
Spring facial hair remover - ouchy but good
Molke bra - bloody awful, sold it
That Barry M colour changing lipstick - looked awful on me
Various beauty advent calenders - varying degrees of success
Northern Tea decaff loose tea, a kind poster sent me a sample and I have drunk it ever since
Numerous books
Babyliss Big Hair - great but it eventually broke
Revlon Hot Air styler thing - crap
Another BBH to replace it with
Kenwood Prospero Mixer - brilliant, gets used lots
Instant Pot - did get used lots until we got our
Everhot Range Cooker (most expensive thing by far but I bloody love it and the Instant Pot has not been used since).

This week, L'Oréal Dream Lengths Wonder Water to see if it would improve my nightmare hair.

Used it yesterday and it did definitely seem to make a difference.

Time will tell though ...

The lady from the Guardian made me buy that and it's defo I rely made some sort of difference to the frizz

2bazookas · 22/07/2022 18:03

A next -trend garlic twist. Love it. It's also great for grinding curry spices.

womaninatightspot · 22/07/2022 18:28

Robot hoover, Boden, Aldi beauty stuff/ moisturisers all of which I like.

Pearbear · 22/07/2022 18:45

An Otty mattress which I still love 4 years on.

Footner which worked brilliantly on my horrible feet.

Ivalueloyaltyaboveallelse · 22/07/2022 23:31

Loving this thread Op thanks.

OoglyMoogly · 23/07/2022 14:52

Zoflora which I love using, makes my room smell really fresh.

Aldi dupes of Yankee candles. Not all of them, but the Amalfi Lemon and Coconut Noir are lush.

samebutdifferentt · 23/07/2022 14:56

Liberty beauty advent calendar
velvetiser
space nk gwp
cost me a lot of money!

ChairOfInvisibleStudies · 23/07/2022 15:13

Shark vacuum cleaner - good, better than my previous one
Molke bras - excellent
Lakeland heated airer - amazing, made using cloth nappies possible
Cloth nappies, reusable wipes, cloth pads, period pants - excellent
Mooncup - didn't get on with it
Toast tongs - from the 'amazing small things you've bought' thread - fabulous Grin

Still deliberating over a robot vacuum, a velvetiser and an air fryer.

Thelnebriati · 23/07/2022 15:40

An air fryer, we love it and combined with a microwave its reduced the cost of cooking by a significant amount - we expect the two gadgets to pay for themselves in under a year.

AffIt · 23/07/2022 16:15

A Molke bra, which was, without a single doubt, the most awful piece of clothing I have ever worn and made me want to rip my own skin off.

Arrived, tried, and returned in under six hours.

Dontfuckingsaycheese · 23/07/2022 16:25

Hamman towels (from Matalan) Newton’s Chiropody sponge and bargain Amazon finger lights for DS’s party.

Somanysocks · 23/07/2022 16:40

Exercise trampoline - good when I get time to use it.
