It's raining here (Devon). And has been cloudy all morning.

Maybe it will pick up a bit later.

Im in Kent - it’s close to 30 already. Windows curtains and blinds all shut (south facing) and it’s way cooler indoors. They’re saying mid to high 30s later…

JustlookingNotbuying · 18/07/2022 10:53

Essex/Suffolk border here it’s around 26 and I’m feeling it. I really don’t tolerate the heat well and am dreading the next few days, I would love to be standing in a rain storm right now.

Morph22010 · 18/07/2022 10:55

29 here in the East Midlands, when I was looking yesterday the hottest temps are forecast after 3

30 degrees here is West Sussex. It’s not even 11am! This is going to be unbearable.

PlopPlop · 18/07/2022 10:56

Just nipped out in Leeds, very sunny 27.5 on the dash

RobertsRadio · 18/07/2022 10:56

29 degrees outside but predicted to rise to 33 by mid afternoon. I'm at home and feeling fairly cool and comfortable at the moment as I've now shut all the windows and drawn blinds and curtains. The back of the house faces south and I've got a conservatory 🥵just to makes things worse. If I didn't do this the house would be unbearable by midday, I've learned this the hard way.

ifonly4 · 18/07/2022 10:57

Supposedly 27c here in Gloucestershire. I got up at 5am and opened all windows for two hours, got the house down to 20.5. All curtains closed and it's 24.1c inside right now.

ItsSnowJokes · 18/07/2022 10:57

South Coast Dorset here and its 28 degrees and too hot!

RobertsRadio · 18/07/2022 10:57

Oh, sorry forgot to say in East Sussex.

funnelfanjo · 18/07/2022 10:57

Warm in Manchester suburbs. Windows open earlier when cooler to freshen the house; now battened down with curtains and blinds shut. Apart from my mums room where she keeps getting out of bed to open the blinds and windows (currently getting full sun) and doesn’t believe me when I say it’s hotter out than in. 😬

zafferana · 18/07/2022 10:58

29 here in Herts at the moment.

We have all the curtains/blinds closed on the side of the house facing the sun. It's actually okay, but the afternoon/evening is the worst time, morning is always alright.

Bunny2607 · 18/07/2022 10:58

27 degrees at 11am in West Yorkshire. Forecast 32 later on and 37 tomorrow

Harridan1981 · 18/07/2022 10:58

Bit overcast here on the Isle of Wight, a few spots of rain around 8. Sunny and warm, 28 degrees at the weather station on top of my daughter's high school and 26 at the sailing club.

31 in the middle of the Island

Purplespup16 · 18/07/2022 10:58

I’m in Somerset and at 10am it was already 26 in the shade 😫

LindaEllen · 18/07/2022 10:58

28 here at the moment. It was this high yesterday afternoon but it was cloudy - this is direct sun with not a cloud in sight, which obviously makes a big difference.

That, and it's still only 11am.

RoundaboutRacer · 18/07/2022 10:58

Surrey. 31 already outside.

TenoringBehind · 18/07/2022 11:00

30 East Mids

Jacopo · 18/07/2022 11:01

Glorious perfect day. Am in Scotland though.

thetemptationofchocolate · 18/07/2022 11:02

In Devon also and it's bloody hot outside. No clouds to be seen.

PissedOffNeighbour22 · 18/07/2022 11:03

31 now in Yorkshire with 35 predicted for later. 40 predicted for tomorrow.

MrsMacIsBack · 18/07/2022 11:03

It was already 21/70 in the shade here at 7am today. I haven't had the chance to check again yet.

Yesterday late afternoon it was 32/90. Stepping outside was like stepping off a plane on holiday somewhere hot but without the cost and the airport, passport and baggage chaos!

Expecting 37-38/98-100 later today and 39-42/102-107 tomorrow.

One of my DC is away from home today and tomorrow and I'm slightly concerned about that in this heat.

thelittlefox · 18/07/2022 11:03

31 here in Bucks. Despite all windows and curtains being shut since about 8am, it's already 26 inside, and rising. UGH.

amusedbush · 18/07/2022 11:03

Not England but according to Accuweather it's 25 degrees with a "real feel" of 28 degrees here in Glasgow and it's to be hotter this afternoon.

Tomorrow is apparently set to be the hottest day on record, into the mid-30s.

kimfox · 18/07/2022 11:04

Im on the south coast (Sussex) and allegedly it is 27 degrees. I'm sitting in the shade, there's the faintest whiff of a breeze, and some hazy clouds. Currently not too bad. House is shut up, dogs are in the hallway which has no direct windows and on the north side of our house. Sitting room will be a furnace later as lots of glass (not the heat repelling kind) and due south. Ah well.

Threeboysandadog · 18/07/2022 11:04

20 here at the moment although feels hotter. Predicted to reach 24 today and 29 tomorrow. Scottish Highlands.
