It's raining here (Devon). And has been cloudy all morning.

Maybe it will pick up a bit later.

I have two thermometers (shaded all day) in different places outside. A the moment one says 37.7 and the other says 38.

DinosApple · 18/07/2022 17:27

Was 37 in the garden earlier (Suffolk). Probably got hotter but that was when I looked at 5pm.

Grimoven · 18/07/2022 17:41

Dashboard read 41 c in West Midlands

My husband is getting ready for his normal Monday night sports club. Its 34°
I've mentioned it's probably not a good idea.
Sympathy will be limited if he feels unwell later!!🙄

MrsMacIsBack · 18/07/2022 20:31

We have cooled down to 25 in the shade now - feels quite chilly after today and I'm not looking forward to doing it all again, and worse, tomorrow.

IncompleteSenten · 18/07/2022 20:37

It's now 28.9 in my bedroom.

The highest it got was nearly 39.

If tomorrow is going to be hotter I'm just going to go sit in the freezer. 😁

Dorset coast ...hazy sunshine until 10-30 but hot hot hot .....no breeze even by the sea !
Around 30 at 1pm

SmellyNelliey · 18/07/2022 20:52

We got to 41°c currently 33°c now

StarCourt · 18/07/2022 20:59

I'm in the midlands it's 32 now down from 37

LimesandClementines · 18/07/2022 21:15

Down too 29 here near Leeds now

Flev · 18/07/2022 21:35

32 in the east midlands here - finally it's ever so slightly cooler outside than inside (which is an absolute sauna, despite having had windows closed and blinds/curtains shut all day) . Can't imagine what it's going to be like this time tomorrow as at least today we started off at a reasonable temperature...

Same here. Now 30, but probably going toget little sleep and 40/41 forcast for tomorrow.

Currently 29 degrees inside my house - all windows, curtains and doors firmly shut to keep out the hot air!

My local weather station says it is currently 34C outside with a high of 38 predicted. It feels significantly hotter than yesterday though, it was 30C by 9am!

ofwarren · 19/07/2022 11:09

Feels significantly hotter here today near Blackpool
It's 32 degrees so far. Set to reach 37.

AdoraBell · 19/07/2022 11:15

Currently 32 in the shade but we’re forecast rain and lower temperatures this afternoon.

BalloonsAndWhistles · 19/07/2022 11:16

Where I am is pretty cloudy too and it looks as though it’s going to rain soon. It’s muggy so I reckon rain is on the way.

Dreamingof3 · 19/07/2022 11:48

36 at 11.30 🥵

ifonly4 · 19/07/2022 12:00

It was 29.8c in shade at 8.30am, haven't checked since. I'm not feeling great today and cats look like they're struggling. My DD has a fan stored here, I was trying to save on electric and not use it, but I've just had it circulating a little distance from cats, and they've both moved!

BigWoollyJumpers · 19/07/2022 12:02

34 in Surrey now, with a strong wind. Very dry, low humdity. I actually did some gardening in a shady part of the garden! Bit like being in an industrial dryer.

Interestingly my weather station has just turned to rain. Hurrah if true. Perhaps we will get a storm later. The poor garden is literally dessicated.

I keep telling my cat to stay indoors. He comes in, meows a lot, then goes out again. Tbf he is under a large privet hedge, but even then, it is considerably cooler inside. I suppose it is instinct..... but I wish he would listen!!

ArseInTheCoOpWindow · 19/07/2022 12:15

It’s 37 degrees where l am😭

Fizbosshoes · 19/07/2022 12:27

37° here. That was supposed to be peak temperature for today but unsure now. It definitely feels hotter than yday. There's a breeze but it's a warm one. The cats have found new places than their usual "nests" they make under shrubs/long grasses. We barely see them in hot weather

Splicebaked · 19/07/2022 13:07

33 here but feels much hotter in the sun

I was in the garden in the shade till midday and then it became unbearable and I felt dizzy

All windows and curtains / blinds drawn as it does make a significant difference

Sitting in front of the fan which is at least blowing cooler air for now

fancyfrogs · 19/07/2022 14:05

37 here at the moment - north east. Insane!
