It's hot - what's for tea tonight?

I've got a pizza. Just made up some coucous which will do a couple of nights and will add salad.

My colleague is going around to someone's house tonight for tea and they're cooking a roast - no way could I stand being in the kitchen for an hour or two regularly checking meat and potatoes, as well as the hot plates on.

Roast chicken with asparagus and crispy potatoes,m. Not much prep the potatoes are ready prepared, just need to bung them in the oven!

@TwoLeftSocksWithHoles suck a pizza? An uncooked frozen pizza?

Is it just me that can’t stand the words ’picky bits’? Makes me want to hit something hard! 😂😫

Vegan burger, red cabbage slaw and corn on the cob. DH was sent a BBQ box from All in a Box after attending a work event but he's away so I have the next few days to work through it by myself. Thankfully he had the good sense to order a vegetarian version. I had the slaw with some new potatoes and aubergine steaks for lunch today. I'm hoping this is just as delicious!

I did my 3 year old twins scrambled eggs, spaghetti hoops, toast & a banana. Not a chance I’m having the ovens on today or standing over a hob for any length of time

It’s very cheaty! I usually cook sushi rice so it’s nice and sticky, so that bit takes half an hour, but it does the work itself. Tonight it’s microwave rice instead because of the heat. I use a Kikkoman’s teriyaki and honey bbq sauce I get from the Asian supermarket, cut up some bavette steak into thin strips and marinade them in a bag in the fridge for half an hour. Use the mandolin to julienne carrots and spring onions, and slice red onions. When the rice is nearly ready, fry the beef strips in the wok with some extra sauce, till it cooks down into a sticky coating. (That’s the only bit of cooking needed, hence the ten minutes). Serve on a bed of the rice with the raw vegetables and some pea shoots on top!

Home made Middle Eastern chicken skewers on bbq with flatbread, tzatziki and Middle Eastern salad.

I'll have 2 and some baked beans please.

Going out for a curry! Lovely air conditioned restaurant and bring your own alcohol so my wine is in the freezer - can't wait!

Hot dogs (actual sausages not frankfurters) with fried onions

Was supposed to be chicken leek and ham pie, mash and veg but we don't fancy that so I've put the pie in the freezer for another time.

Raclette in the garden. The fridge and kitchen stink like merry hell and have done since DH bought the cheese last week.

I'm glad you asked because I'm sitting here going WTAF?! 😱

We had quiche, roasted Mediterranean veg, wedges and coleslaw followed by strawberries and ice cream ☺️

Had a sausage roll, followed by party ring biscuits and a bottle of beer. Whoops 😬

Ds has had picnic in the garden at after-school care and DH is at work

I've had a packet of crisps and a twister ice lolly

Home made chicken mince kebabs with salad and yogurt/cucumber dip.

We are having squid curry, spinach curry and yellow split pea curry. With basmati rice.
