I don’t mind ghosts! I’ve been house hunting for months now and haven’t been drawn to anything in the way this house has drawn me. I so wish it was somewhere I could practically move to.

Parking has always been one of my non-negotiables but even so I still love it!

Norwich is lovely.

I could if I was brave enough. But I wouldn’t know anyone there, I’d have to find a new job etc. My dc are all adults so that wouldn’t, in theory, be an issue but they’re currently living nowhere near there.

It's lovely, this is the sort of house I'd love to live in. Would happily live in Norwich too, but too far to work unfortunately (even if I could afford it!)

Thinking the maintenance though! I looked at a very similar house a few years ago in another town. It was listed and the upkeep would drive me mad.

Nice - but far too expensive and no (real) outside space. I want more than a grotty back yard for half a million quid!

I know - with my practical head on it’s a complete no-go. I’m meant to be down sizing and going low maintenance. This is the total opposite. But my heart is currently speaking louder than my head!

It’s a lovely house but I wonder how much charm would be lost once their antique furniture was removed and it was just a shell. Also it’s on many levels, I’d break my neck in the first week forgetting the steps to the loo in the middle of the night!!!

Everyone posting the downsides to this house - please keep posting! I need to hear them.

The floor plans are badly made and don't match the pictures. The front door isn't marked and one plan has a spiral staircase that doesn't match any other floor.

Beautiful, but impractical.

you would have people right outside your front window . that alone would put me off. oh and the ghosts!
