Since yesterday Cathedral City cheese, the production firm behind it having polluted rivers and killed loads of salmon in Cornwall (where I live).

sunshinesupermum · 24/06/2022 18:45

Dyson

Scienceteacher1986 · 24/06/2022 18:47

Lush for there lack of support for farmer

shangelawasrobbed · 24/06/2022 18:51

The Sun, because of their "reporting" following Hillsborough.

Peterpatter · 24/06/2022 18:52

Lush because of Plane Stupid. Suits because of MM. Primark because of the throw away culture. And where I live it's seriously hot, we are compiling a list of places that don't allow delivery drivers wait in their restaurants it's almost 50 degrees outside! All of the above are things I really miss so it's a real sacrifice.

Georgieporgie29 · 24/06/2022 18:52

Shell for buying oil from Russia after the war began
The Sun newspaper (although don’t buy any newspapers these days)

HermioneWeasley · 24/06/2022 18:52

Nestle for human rights - baby milk and water access

for women’s rights - lush, M&S, John Lewis, Waitrose, body shop

ThirtyThreeTrees · 24/06/2022 18:54

I refuse to step foot in Lush or Claire's Accessories because of the crazy way they train their staff to be over zealous crazy people who constantly badger you with latest offers, needing a basket etc. Drives me crazy. (Lush has other issues too).

Despise Apple also but unfortunately have to use their product as work phone is an iphone - no other option allowed.

RodneySodney · 24/06/2022 18:57

TNT
Nestle
The Sun
Oatly

AlloftheTime · 24/06/2022 18:58

OhWifey · 24/06/2022 17:26

Nestle due to historic (and enduring, more subtly) appalling undermining of breastfeeding in developing countries.

Yep ^

I have boycotted frankie and bennies, haven’t stepped foot in one in years!
i ordered a chicken tikka lasagne and it only had 3 small bits of chicken in!
I said something to the waitress but got shrugged at. I still hold a grudge over that as I was so looking forward to it!!

Chicken tikka lasagna??

Georgyporky · 24/06/2022 18:59

I wish posters would say why they are boycotting.

Wetherspoons has been mentioned several times.

Why?

Food & drink are both good & reasonably priced - sometimes very much cheaper than nearby pubs.

danadas · 24/06/2022 19:01

The Sun for their coverage of Hillsborough and everything that followed.

Cas112 · 24/06/2022 19:01

My local taxi company cause they never turn up on time and have a shocking service

woodencoffetable · 24/06/2022 19:02

The meat and dairy industry because it inherently involves hurting animals, which I think is wrong.

I'm going to hazard a guess here.. but have you seen the owner? Brexit, Tory, treated his staff like shit at the beginning of lockdown... They're also normally sticky shit holes

SommerTen · 24/06/2022 19:04

If I could I would boycott anything made in China. But it's very difficult as everything seems to be Made In China, including the components of my smartphone!

For their state policy of torture, rape, murder & incarceration of the Uighurs & other Turkic Muslims in Xinjiang province. At the very least there are 1 million Muslims enslaved in Concentration Camps.
For their policy of ethnic cleansing Tibet.
For their ill treatment of any opposition (see the recent protests in Hong Kong).

I would also like to boycott any petrol / oil we get from Saudi but unfortunately I have to travel around to get from a to b.
They arrest Feminists and call them Terrorists then execute them...
They are also destroying the Yemen along with Iran.

I wanted to visit Istanbul on a city break but not while Erdogan is in charge, arresting journalists who disagree with him.

I won't be visiting the US either after todays court decision!!

Sexnotgender · 24/06/2022 19:05

M&S
The body shop
Lush

  • anywhere else that shits on women’s rights.
hiredandsqueak · 24/06/2022 19:05

Tesco since the horse meat thing and our local co op purely because they are bloody rude, there's always a queue and three or four of them will be stood chatting whilst there is only one till open and that person on checkout will also be joining in with the others chatting rather than acknowledging the person they are supposed to be serving.

ElBandito · 24/06/2022 19:06

Pret a mange because of Natasha www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-london-45623831

twilightermummy · 24/06/2022 19:06

Another one for America. I mean, where to begin on the reasons why?!

twilightermummy · 24/06/2022 19:07

I agree with China too.

Fluffymule · 24/06/2022 19:08

Ryanair
Any company selling via/associated with MLM
Co-op, Lush, Innocent, The Guardian et al (basically any corporate directly or indirectly supporting the degradation of women's sex based rights, or ideology that threatens child safeguarding).
Any politician, of any party, willing to lie about biological reality or pretend they have no idea what a woman is.
Companies that 'pink wash' womens health issues as a marketing strategy, particularly in relation to cancer.

Longdistance · 24/06/2022 19:08

Zara
Virgin media - bastards!

Justthisonceharold · 24/06/2022 19:09

First Direct for over 20 years - I couldn't work for a few months due to DV injuries, and despite knowing this and also that I had a small child, they piled bank charge upon bank charge on me for some missed DDMs. It took ages for me to pay them off. Bastards.

M & S for allowing males into female changing rooms.

Ditto John Lewis.

Lush, Body Shop, Aviva for mysogyny.

Snag for their bizarre stance on male fetishists wearing their tights.

Nestle for their baby milk issue.

The Zoe app for asking me about gender rather than sex when collecting medical data.
