Trying to work out who's having a worse day so far ; the Tory party or England cricket team...

Still think the major obstacle is the incompetence of Tory MPs mean they will be incompetent at getting it together to work out who can oust Johnson.

Talking of incompetence; imagining being Oliver Dowden getting the boot as Culture Secretary. And being replaced by Nadine Dorries.

I want to say thank you to the voters of Wakefield and Tiverton. The world seems to be a slightly better place today.

The significance is that the results in a way make it acceptable for others to vote for parties that are not the Tories as well. People generally like to be on the winning side and voting for winners. Boris is now a loser many times over and that will stick.

Duncin mine was slightly different, but on the same theme Smile

This one? Wakefield poll

Btw isn't a threat of a snap election a bit of an empty threat? Unless Johnson seriously thinks the electorate will come back to him at GE? Wouldn't put it past them but....

Roussette · 24/06/2022 15:27

Dorries has tweeted her sycophantic twaddle. She seems to have brought up World War 11.... gosh, I was only up to WWII. And we are mid War with Ukdraine, according to her? Didn't know that Nads.... Hmm

Roussette · 24/06/2022 15:28

That's the one Duncin, I just could not find it again!

Sorry wrong thread

It's terrible though.

Has Dorries said we're at war with Ukraine again???

But Johnson knows what a woman is.......

He should do, he's had enough practice.

Terrible news. I think we all knew it was coming but just awful. Independent judiciary is worth protecting.

I think he thinks they'll come back if he can revisit Brexit. I'm not convinced that is that case.

Looking forward to her tweeting later after she's had a drink.

Has Dorries said we're at war with Ukraine again???

This gov will remain relentlessly focused and continue to deliver for people during a post pandemic, mid-war, global cost of living challenge which no Prime Minister or gov has faced the likes of since WW11.

She is correct on the first part.

This government will indeed remain relentlessly focussed on staying in power even though it has no idea what to do in government except party and spaff money on their already exceedingly rich mates, whilst ignoring the vast majority of voters needs.

balalake · 24/06/2022 16:01

I recall Mrs Thatcher has to face a cost of living challenge and industrial strife. Has Nadine Dorries forgotten?

Rwanda puts out the red carpet to welcome the only two UK deportees to have arrived from the UK.

It might have cost us £120 million, but it's worth it.

Do we know how much we have to pay for Rwanda to keep them, I feel a fundraiser coming on.

I think she's been on the cooking sherry already if she thinks we're at war with Ukraine, and there's been 8 WW's in the last 50 years!

'He's Big Log to me'

Big log? Yet folk on here and other threads get so outraged over Sir Beer Grin

It's not a play on anyone's name, though, is it? If you come up with or support a stupid slogan like "Save Big Dog" you have to be prepared to take the inevitable consequences

They aren't allowed to come back are they, it is a one way ticket. It was worth the £120m.

Perhaps we could use the V&A...

It's probably not fair on Rwanda though.

She's terribly careful to say the cost of living issue is "global" - anything rather than admit that Brexit plus the billions of pounds lost on corrupt contracts and Sunak's incompetence might have something to do with it.

I hear Prince Charles has offered them a lift back but intends to shut the door on them just before take off, giving them 'a cheery wave' as he and Camilla taxi off along the runway.

Luckily there's a hotel with lots of vacancies for long stays, as luck would have it.
