Royal kids not wearing hats or sunglasses

So on the carriage trip, Katherine and Camilla wearing big hats and the 3 kids squinting uncomfortably in the sun. No sunglasses allowed or hats. Seems cruel to me. Along with the expectation that they have to shake hand with strangers when the rest of the country are teaching their kids they don’t have to hug family goodbye if they don’t want to to teach bodily independence. Used to be pro royalty, definitely not these days.

They were out for hardly any time at all.
my kids go out without hats and sunglasses - nobody has got burnt yet! I do cover them in factor 50 though.

BuyingVintage · 02/06/2022 18:15

I can't remember ever wearing a hat or sunglasses as a kid? Kids dont care about that kind of stuff.

UrsulaPandress · 02/06/2022 18:16

Yay. Glad you’ve found something to be arsey about.

Congratulations.

What an odd thing to get upset about.

I'm sure they had lots of sun cream on.

Blossomtoes · 02/06/2022 18:17

They were only in the sun for about ten minutes and probably smothered in factor 50.

Of course they’re encouraged to shake hands, it’s literally what they’re for!

LesLavandes · 02/06/2022 18:19

Laughing. Such a silly thread.

Let's remember that hugging was banned for a long time. I haven't seen them hugging but great. They are a family and we have no rules in this respect in place.

Mu children at that age didn't have sunglasses. They would have looked ridiculous wearing them or hats! All was lovely

Beees · 02/06/2022 18:20

Goodness me of all the things to froth about. I doubt anyone else cared let alone enough to post a snide thread about it online. 🙄

Maybe you should put your energy into something more productive instead of scraping the bottom of the barrel and looking for the smallest thing to pick at.

vodkaredbullgirl · 02/06/2022 18:22

🙄

SundayTeatime · 02/06/2022 18:22

They’ll no doubt have sunblock on. And shaking hands is normal, if formal, social interaction that you should be teaching your children.

toastedbagiel · 02/06/2022 18:22

Cruel? A child out without a hat?

Get a life.

ChessieFL · 02/06/2022 18:23

If they had worn hats and/or sunglasses, someone would probably have complained about that too (they will have been too hot in hats/sunglasses are disrespectful etc.).

MiddleParking · 02/06/2022 18:24

The rest of the country except all the men and nearly all the women 😂

nomistake · 02/06/2022 18:25

How do you think kids in hot countries survive? I generally don't put hats or sunnies on my kids, a bit of suncream is all that's needed.

Lolliepoppie · 02/06/2022 18:26

Don’t be so stupid 🍪

SpritzingAperol · 02/06/2022 18:26

seriously? Hat and sunglasses? Do you go out much here?

BlanketsBanned · 02/06/2022 18:27

How do you know they were not allowed sunglasses or hats

Cluelessmouse · 02/06/2022 18:27

Who said glasses and hats weren’t allowed?

have you just presumed that the kids were banned from sun protection. Rather than they didn’t want it or need it.
so weird

ReadMyMind · 02/06/2022 18:28

Eh?

Basketet · 02/06/2022 18:29

Really? This has to be a windup.

CPL593H · 02/06/2022 18:29

I think the barrel has really been scraped with this one.

Are you for fucking real?🙄

LondonMaybe · 02/06/2022 18:31

Well I’ve been told 😂 Not a wind up seeing kids aren’t allowed out in the playground at school here without. Just coming on from a conversation with a friend commenting about all the adults out pushing prams wear hats and sunglasses and kids strapped in facing the sun with nothing.
MN can come and delete my unpatriotic thread if enough of you report it!
