Or no one ever talks about them anymore.

I will offer chocolate covered cornflakes, which used to be in high street baker's windows every eater with confectionary eggs atop. A staple home economics recipe, I recall running home from school with a large tin, convinced that I was going to blow everyone's mind with my culinary genius.

And Spam. Like 'corned beef', but the pork version, also in a tin. That curious shape, reminded me of feeding the cat. My DH watches a lot of wild camping/van man stuff in Japan on youtube and it seems to be having a resurgence..

Fabulous thank you! 😊

...or if you can be bothered - make your own from scratch! Bit of a faff but my Mum's blancmanges were lovely!

I can also no longer find banana yoghurt, which I love

Longley Farm do a banana yoghurt in Asda or Morrisons, I bought one for my DD the other week as she also had trouble finding just plain banana ones

Do you remember Ayds? They were a slimming product sold in the 60s and 70s that I think were squares of fudge?

I remember Ayds. They vanished for a while and were reformulated for a big launch which unfortunately coincided with a new virus becoming more widespread and known as the AIDS virus (It took a while for the virus to be defined as HIV). The Ayds product was removed from the market because of the association that might be made with the very scary new illness.

@Latenightreader I agree entirely about mint wispas. Also Pyramint and a mint layered cholate bar M&S used to do....

Mccowans highland toffee in egg and milk flavour. Sounds bizarre but I loved it.

Yes!! They tasted chocolatey and papery. Once you'd finished pretending to smoke with them...
