Purely me being nosy...

My neighbour, I haven't a clue what she does for work, young glam woman.

I spot her fairly often leaving her house on foot, dressed very glam businesslike with some sort of pass on a lanyard and a laptop bag but then she always walks home again within 45 mins to an hour.

I want to ask her as it baffles me so much. If she works from home, and is just going for a walk, why does she bring her laptop? If she's going to work, what on Earth does she do for such a short period of time? I want her job Grin

Possibly a medical secretary for a private consultant. They usually drop all the clinic letters off first thing. Pick up the dictaphone tapes and return home to type.

It is a weirdly short time - if it was nearer 2 hours I'd assume client meetings or someone who mostly works from home going to a coffee shop for a change of scene (which is something I do regularly - like this morning when the plumber was round and it was easier just to leave him to it)

Nobody has tapes anymore it's all digital dictation.

The briefcase is empty on her outgoing trip. She is going somewhere and collecting the work she will be then be doing at home. Given she dresses smartly and wears a lanyard, I'd say formal location, possibly court.

Meetings? I'm a photographer, work for myself, but my house is always chaos and my studio is lovely but mainly my playground, so when I meet enquiries or new clients or do prep meetings I meet them elsewhere with laptop and notebook in tow!

Fil worked from home for years and would always get dressed in 'business attire' and walk around the block before coming back to his home office. Said it prepared him for the like his train commute had before.

Maybe she works from home but has a daily briefing/morning meeting and she has bad signal so does it from somewhere else
