As in dying 😔. I know she is very old and fragile at 95 but I do wonder if she is trying to keep going until the Royal jubilee.

based on absolutely no inside information whatsoever, I reckon she'll pass away by end of the this year or early in 2023

WinnieTheW0rm · 14/04/2022 23:08

and has a half drunk bottle of Baileys in the fridge

Noooooo! Aren't her tipples dubonnet and gin?

Reminders of London Bridge procedures have been issued to certain institutions. This may mean nothing though as HRH is very old anyway.

She's only 6? years off her mum's age when she died. My own mum, born the year before the Queen, died at 90, 5 years younger than her own mum. While there is a trend towards people living longer, I think that people who were born when Queen Victoria was on the throne, lived through 2 World Wars, the Great Depression etc and survived to very old age were inherently tougher than the following generation.

So that generation was a bit of a blip in life expectancy and the Queen's/my mum's generation are probably a reset. With any luck I'll reach 92 or 93 in between my mum and granny.

I think she is remarkable and I have relative who is 108 and still going strong….

HM She's Her Majesty, not Her Royal Highness.

@Squiff70

I said the very same thing to DP when the evening news presenter on ITV said that the Queen would not be attending the Easter Sunday service.

The Queen is a religious lady. As I understand it, Christian festivals such as Easter would be very important to her on a personal level and it worries me greatly that she won't be attending this year, especially as so many other recent engagements have been cancelled or attended by other members of her family instead.

Worrying indeed.

Thing is why would she risk going out after she's just had covid at her age?
EmmaH2022 · 14/04/2022 23:22

@MVision

Yes she is - the newspapers have had the nod - it's why meghan and harry have come over
Is it? I've been thinking for ages they'll come over, hence all the coverage saying they won't.

I like the Queen. No logic, never met her, I just do.

LizzieSiddal · 14/04/2022 23:24

I think the combination of losing her DH, plus lockdowns etc due to the epidemic have aged the Queen considerably over the past two years. I hope she’s resting and taking things easy.

I’m so pleased Harry and Meghan managed to fool the paps and visit in private, mind you they’ll pay for it I’m sure. Hmm

DoncasterHombre · 14/04/2022 23:25

Bit of a coincidence that H&M have decided on a whim to pop in for a cup of tea with Nanna. Same goes for neither Johnson or Sunak resigning because - the pair of them holding the two most prominent UK political offices - they'll want to be in post when it happens, Johnson especially as he likes the history books and is desperate to be in them. Given the last few days, it wouldn't have been surprising if either had done so. Anne's on her way back from Australia too although I think that was only a whistle-stop tour anyway.

It's suggestive of the early stags of Operation London Bridge getting underway and the private doctor briefing family, Government and selected media outlets. Wouldn't surprise me if there is big news over the Easter Bank Holiday.

I refuse to believe a word of it until its confirmed by Gibbo.

HelloDaisy · 14/04/2022 23:25

She could just be her age. She is old after all, still in the depths of grief from losing her beloved husband and recovering from covid.

My nana is 91 and sailed through covid as though it was just a cold. However she has been so tired since then and struggling to get her energy levels back to how they were, just like any virus really, but her age isn’t helping..

thenewduchessoflapland · 14/04/2022 23:26

They've apparently updated operation "London bridge" which the code name for the queens death,she's turning 96,has lost the love of her life last year,has recently had Covid and the Voldemort of royals (Megan) and has now visited and has pulled out of engagements.

The signs are there like it was with Prince Philip.No one can live indefinitely.

Bit of a coincidence that H&M have decided on a whim to pop in for a cup of tea with Nanna. well it’s only a coincidence in that they are flying to Europe anyway for the Invictus Games, so it was probably always planned for them to visit her.

Supersimkin2 · 14/04/2022 23:27

@CPL593H - you’re both right abt George V, apols. But the timer and the injection to die in time to tell The Times Editor is fact - no one wanted an Evening Standard scoop.

ChildDLA · 14/04/2022 23:29

We're on holiday atm. Due back next Wednesday, if the country's in mourning will flights be cancelled?

Righto - and Harry suing the UK Government for removing his police protection? That just get's put to one side because they're on a jolly to the Netherlands and decided to pop anyway?

Someone help me out with this - why would newspapers get a 'nod' and what would the 'nod' be - 'oi, heads up boys the Queen will die in the next few days'?

I don't know but I really don't see a reason to fret on the basis of H&M. I think Her Majesty might well be at her Jubilee and I very much hope so, if that's what she wants.

Lampzade · 14/04/2022 23:35

@SpringIsSprung1

Harry and Meghan have caused so much stress to the Royal family. I find if hard to believe that they have not caused her worry and great sadness. Not good at the Queens age for sure.
I think you forgot to mention Andrew who was besties with the nefarious Epstein. The same Andrew who has paid millions to a woman who was a victim of sex trafficking. The same Andrew who recently attended an event with the Queen hanging on his arm. Just waiting for some idiot to claim that if the Queen dies it is Harry and Meghan’s fault

I hope not! I'll be trying to get out of the country for a week because the sycophants - of whom there are many here on MN - will be going into overdrive. No forelock shall remain un-tugged, no cap un-doffed by teary eyed subject weirdos.

I quite fancy the Bahamas.

@LetsGoCrazyPurpleBanana

Since hearing Harry has recently visited her,I think she's worse than they're letting on :(
They've 'popped in' on their way to the invictus games, they haven't come simply to say good-bye.

Sorry would be more appropriate anyway! I'm not be pleased with them or Andrew!!
